Personally, no.
I would never pay a complete stranger to cut open my face and possibly end up coming out worse than when I went in...

Not offend anyone, but I always thought that plastic surgery for aesthetic purposes (excluding those that were in accidents of any kind) were pointless and just a waste of money.

Some people get treated poorly for their entire lives for being considered unattractive. That kind of stuff messes up the way they think. :/ Or (like in Korea) attractiveness is considered so vital that everyone is terrified of being unattractive.

Yeah, and I'm aware. I stand by what I say, so...

ot: Still no, not worth it unless in an accident of some sort.

Oh ok. I'm sorry :( Didn't mean to waste your time. I shouldn't have said anything.

I don't understand why you're sorry since there's not even a slight reason to be, but okay. -shrugs-

ot: Still no.

While I completely agree with you, for some people, that's not how they think. For some, the raw feelings of wanting to look different, it's so mental in a way that others probably can't understand. I personally think plastic surgery of any kind besides accidents like burns are useless (especially breast implants which just screams for attention), but that's the opinion of someone who is content with how they look. Some people are bullied or made fun of just for the way they look and depending on the person's psyche, they give in to the tormenting. Some overcome it though.

Yes, and I understand that. That's why I posted that I didn't mean to offend anyone. I'm not saying that's the way that everyone should think or even the correct way. It's just the way I look it. Lol (On some issues I'm pretty stubborn and this would be an example.)

Looks aren't everything, even though they play a big part in life, alot of unattractive people find others ways to shine.

There is no real correct way to think about it. It's okay to be stubborn about this. Because statistically most people come out looking worse than they did before. Not making it right, but the numbers don't really lie. Lol

The important thing is to feel good with ourselves so if people with a weaker mind to overcome their unacttractiveness submit themselves to plastic surgery I don't think it's a waste of money for them considering that their quality of life is increased by that. However yes, there are other ways to be beautiful to the eyes of others aside from their outer appearance and that's to be valued.

Even if I have sharp nose, I would never do this. Only if I suffer an accident.

Having plastic surgery is not bad as long as it's not too much. A little nose lift is not a big deal but to those who made a drastic change in their faces is just not right. Well of course they will look amazing after the procedure is done but when they grow older that's when the problem comes. It's a fact that our bone structures will change and our skin will sag as we get older, so to those who overdone their plastic surgery will definitely have some trouble. Their faces won't have a normal aging process and it will only lead them to have another procedure and another, which will result to a disaster.

Unless the surgery is restorative, I think it depends on the expectations and self esteem of the person having the surgery.

If someone believes that plastic surgery will make him happier or more confident, it's probably not the right choice, since those factors are both influenced more by one's thoughts than by external appearances.

All faces are of similar difficulty.

In fact, you could say Asians are harder because of their awkward bone structure. But their surgeons can legit rework any face...

You must be registered for see images

Holy ****ing shit. I'm going to Korea loool. @OP; I want my nose and chin fixed, and a slight Breast reduction.

I don't really see the need, unless my facial bone structure is completely inhuman or I've suffered an accident which causes me to look pretentiously weird, then maybe I would consider it. But for other reasons, self worth, self esteem, not happy with my looks, no way in hell I would.

nope if it's cosmetic nonsense but this type of surgery is needed if you were born with a malformation or simply after a cancer or an accident.

True story about the asians. My philippine female friend keeps telling me she wants to get her boobs done and other parts of her body. I'm sitting there like wtf are you whining about, woman. She says many of her friends back in the philippines have done so or atlas concidered plastic surgery.

It is one of the things i would not do and would prevent my close ones to doing so, but would not resent others for doing so. It does not float my boat but it might float others'. Unless there is dire need (such as an unfortunate accident) i do not consider it. My sis once said 'you could be a model if you had a surgery to narrow your nose width'. I told her 'i would not because i don't want to be one'. People should have to look into their needs and desires before getting into a physical artificial manipulation.

I do not percieve things like small ass, big nose, thin lips, small boobs, below average height etc. as uglier than their opposites. Imo the beauty standarts pushing towards people are for flaming consumerism, making people insecure and increasing the similarity of thoughts of people. Idk how i brought this matter to a social issue but it seems relevant.

Don't people who get plastic surgery generally end up looking worse?

Only usually if it goes wrong or people have too much

Nah I wouldn't it would take more plastic to improve my mush than there is in the whole of Hasbro XD
