im new to photoshop (10 minutes ago) , and im trying to get good at manga colouring , so i can enter the competition. anyone know any good tutorials on the basics.

go to youtube or there are some tutorials in the gfx or design section in forums
hopefully this helped !

going straight to coloring in photoshop is probably a bad idea if you havn't worked with these kinds of programs before.

Though youtube has a lot of tutorials. Most of them from what I know atleast use's tools and such assuming you already know about them.

ATM im just playing around with lineart and im having trouble getting naruto's skin colour

put line art as the first layer make sure its locked

go for yellow and try to blend it slowly with other colors in pallete n u will get his skin color

this thread should of been in the gfx tutorials section, anyways
you have much to learn, and if you are planning to go against mercy and the others, you should ready your self for months of hardcore training in PS, what you made is just a flat, which is the easiest part in coloring, and you didn't even skill it
