Perfect timing??

Pretty sure this chapter could have been a perfect chance for Yamato to be reintroduced to the chapter or at least had a little foreshadowing of his return. Hashi could've at least dropped a hint of sensing a chakra force with stronger cells (due to yamato absorbing the Hashi clone) and then Yamato makes an appearance, Hashi gives him his chakra/jutsu or whatever you guys think it is. Atleast give him some recognition while the mains are getting patched up.

Madara can comment on how Yamato is almost a perfect copy of Hashirama and better than his Zetsu androids.

Hashirama can comment on someone else utilising the Wood release, perhaps giving us a background on how it came to be or why Yamato only survived.

Eventually gets fodderised tho since its called Naruto and not Yamato.

Maybe so it can show that kishi hasnt forgot about Yamato, why Wood Release is seen as a strong element compared to others, why yamato is so special etc.

It couldve been better imo than Sasuke getting neg diff by Madara. Give Yamato screentime and put his wood to good use rather than wasting a character who was seen as epic at the startof shippuden. Not really a waste, would've been just as epic.

I don't think it would of been epic. You said yourself, he would get fodderized. It would be rehashing a point Oro already let us know about Yamato and a point Kabuto already stressed with the capture of Yamato. He is 'special' we know that.
It probably would of been better than that Sasuke thing simply because that had to be one of the most anti-climatic moments I've seen in this Manga.
