A lot of versus matches aren't possible in manga.

Minato vs itachi is not possible because itachi was on baby sitting duty while Minato was alive.
Hashirama vs naruto isn't possible because hashirama was dust when naruto was born.
Ems sasuke vs itachi isn't possible because ems sasuuke can't exist while itachi is alive.

I remember Madara explaining that an Edo tensei can't be a jinchuuriki.

It didn't make sense at first considering minato's situation until that is, the 4th databook clarified on minato using the power of the Shiki seal.

So it was kcm minato collaborating with kurama, mainly because of naruto working with kurama's other half.

He's technically not a jinchuuriki at at all because a jinchuuriki requires a living sacrifice, but an instant man isn't going to be caught in a genjustu that easily.
