No. His students were responsible. Also, Kakashi was a jonin (which was the same level as Minato at the time). Rin committed suicide, which was not Minato's fault. He couldn't control what happened to Kushina and recently Naruto.

Nah, people must take care of their subordinates even at the cost of their whole village...

That's what I get from those blaming Minato for not saving Obito or Rin...
- Minato should have left that 1000 units battalion go rampage on Konoha and save Obito from dying an unlucky death...
- Minato should have let go of his other priorities and go as a secret backup for Kakashi & Rin so that he could have saved Rin...
- Minato should not have left Kushina and Naruto to go to subdue the Kyuubi...
This :snick: bet they would feel better then.

They were no older than 13. They were kids, Kakashi was an inexperienced Jonin we saw that when he went charging in with Chidori, about to get himself killed. Minato had to save him, he should've known then Kakashi wasn't ready to be left alone. Kushina was his fault and resealing the Kyuubi he failed.

So minato should babysit them? if they cant handle being a ninja then they should just be civilians then.

Really? genins are the ones that you should say that about. Team Minato was composed of two chuunins and two jounins by all means they should all be leading different teams and you think they weren't ready to be left alone?

This is what I told to Chaos which is the truth.

Whilst I do agree with the statement, Minato is actually partly to blame for what happened to Obito and Rin.

Even though Kakashi charged in, he made that call, he took out 18 clones with a chidori, enough for whoever he was aiming at to figure out that justu easily, that's where he messed up my failing to fall back.

They had a simple mission, it wasn't even supposed to have been within contact of many enemies.

Kakashi's leadership wasn't the reason the plan went haywire, it's because of Obito and Rin. Obito didn't even make a formation to cover the rear which is how Rin was taken.

Kakashi picked up on the enemy immediately.

After Obito used his fire justu he immediately forgot about the rear and Rin. Which is how she was taken.

Even team 7 knew how to get in formation and they were genin at the time.

Kushina was not his fault, Obito endangered his newborn son forcing him to retreat. What was he going to do? give him back to Kushina while he fight Obito then and there?

Not only that, he had bombs in a enclosed space, he would of just kamui'd Kushina and himself anyway.

He did not fail in resealing Kurama, he did what he intended to do. Seal half inside him, half inside his son, and part of Kushina inside Naruto. That way she could at least spend more time with him

What he didn't plan on was his wife instinctively throwing herself in between her son and danger.

Still though, It's the third Ninja war. You as a shinobi should expect the possibility of their being enemies scattered all over the place. Though everything during the Nine-tails attack I agree with.

The fact that it was a war helps my point all the more. Minato had his own duties to take care of. Or should he have just abandoned his duties to take care of a jonin (who is supposed to be an elite ninja) and two chunin?

This term is targeted towards just about every person people claim that Minato failed to save. "If you can't handle the heat, get the hell out the kitchen." They all knew what the hell they signed up to. Don't go blaming this and that on Minato. He saved the village at the price of losing his life and his wife life. They both knew the dangers of being a ninja and signed on the dotted line. Naruto knew that there was a chance of the 9 tails being ripped out of him when he left the giant floating turtle. If its anyone fault that anyone dies, it's their own. Live with it. Minato did his best to save everyone he could but in the end, it's up to the person that is harms way to save themselves. Oh he didn't save Obito? Sorry, they had a jounin on their team( Kakashi.) rank wise, he was ready to lead his team no if and or buts. He decided to save Kakashi and become a half pancake.

Haters gonna hate.

Happy Valentines. :p

theres a certain time where ninjas need to fend for themselves and if they die, they die in the line of duty.
