This term is targeted towards just about every person people claim that Minato failed to save. "If you can't handle the heat, get the hell out the kitchen." They all knew what the hell they signed up to. Don't go blaming this and that on Minato. He saved the village at the price of losing his life and his wife life. They both knew the dangers of being a ninja and signed on the dotted line. Naruto knew that there was a chance of the 9 tails being ripped out of him when he left the giant floating turtle. If its anyone fault that anyone dies, it's their own. Live with it. Minato did his best to save everyone he could but in the end, it's up to the person that is harms way to save themselves. Oh he didn't save Obito? Sorry, they had a jounin on their team( Kakashi.) rank wise, he was ready to lead his team no if and or buts. He decided to save Kakashi and become a half pancake.

Haters gonna hate.

Happy Valentines. :p

theres a certain time where ninjas need to fend for themselves and if they die, they die in the line of duty.

Very well said you two.

People (both in the manga and in real life) are always blaming someone for letting someone else die. Take Minato for example. He is constantly bashed and given greef. They say he couldn't protect his students or his wife or more recently his son. None of this was his fault or responsibility! At Kannabi bridge, let us not forget that Kakashi was a jounin and he was leading two chunin. They should have been able to take care of themselves. Plus it was war and he had his own missions. He didn't have time to babysit a trio of ninjas that were supposedly good enough to lead their own teams! It was their fault (not Minato's). As for Kushina, Minato couldn't do anything about that. What should he have done? Let his newborn son be killed by Obito? He had to take his son to a safe place (which led to his separation from Kushina and gave Obito time to extract Kurama). Therefore Minato could have done nothing about this. It is also not Minato's fault that Rin decided to kill herself or that Naruto got defeated by Madara. Naruto just lost. That is not Minato's fault! Minato could not help that Black Zetsu just popped up out of nowhere and got Kurama. Not Minato's fault!

People also blame Kakashi for letting Rin die. Once again, that is not his fault! Rin decided to kill herself! She should have trained in more than just medical ninjutsu. This was nobody's fault but her own.

The bottom line is this: These people are ninjas! Their job description requires them to be able to take care of themselves! Therefore it is wrong to blame people like Minato or Kakashi for deaths and call them failures! They are not responsible for babysitting!

i agree some are treating Minato harshly, the character is even beating himself up over it. i do think he could have at least let himself live and him and naruto could have been living happily ever after, but it was also sweet what he did for kushina and part of me doesn't blame him.

rin wasnt rin, kakashi, or minato's fault....that was madaras fault and i swear he had to have had something to do with many of the events that happened, especially rins death. its just too convenient that it happened
