People on base try to limit the Izanami by saying it doesnt work on everyone, it only works on people with identify an crisis
That ideal in itself is stupid

Its obviously can get anybody in a loop once prepared, and only way they could get out is if they accept the destiny Itachi has chosen for them
Which could be anything
And i guess Izanami wouldnt be called a combat jutsu, cause you lose an eye, but it still can be used in combat
I understand people want someway for there character to beat the latter
So you try an nerf the jutsu like Izanami

So far there is no known counter for this, unless someone can prevent it from being prepared

So until shown otherwise or perhaps stated not even Edo Madara can break out of this from what is known

well i think it depends. For right now we are not fully sure if it can work on just about anyone, even jinchuuriki's were not fully sure so until itachi states that it can work on anyone then yea we'll believe.

It works on everyone, but certain people can get out of it faster than others... And to get out of it you have to know what is needed to be accepted in the first place.. which is why itachi told kabuto it before he put him in...

It was created to stop uchiha from being arrogant not that the jutsu only works on arrogant people.

Show me a link in the manga where itachi says this technique only works on arrogant people

That was just something Itachi felt he needed to do for Kabuto cause he said they were sorta similar
