Darui doesn't have any sensing abilities nor Fuuton to navigate the mist. True, he has Laser Circus, which is stronger than Zabuza's Suiton but it still won't allow him to defend himself against Zabuza in the mist.
I also highly doubt Darui will see through Zabuza's Water Clone feints when Kakashi with Sharingan couldn't tell, which is how he got fooled and kicked into the water. If Kakashi with Sharingan could barely keep up with Zabuza in the mist and know where he is, then Darui sure as hell can't.

p.s by serious you mean when people pull out insults? that's not being serious, just retarded imo. When you debate and are serious, there's no need to get worked up over fanfiction. I've come across people who feel the need to spit their two cents into an argument, yet don't even bother making a full argument.

Arguments held in NB at times go this way:
Typical NB member: "___ sucks because, he/she cant do this"
Me: "Well, seeing that in chapter this___Blah blha, chapter that__Blah blah, also info from wiki__Blah blah- we seen the power and so my conclusion__Blah blha blah" <--no insults, just giving facts to debate the argument made by that person.
Typical NB memeber: "Wut?..so and so still sucks b/c she/he cant do this & you take this way too serious so F you.."
Me: "Meh -_-"...
