Not quite man. Sasuke is my favorite character(well tied with minato) I am not a sasuke hater.
XD you got it wrong didn't mean you was just saying in general.

I'm indifferent towards Karin. I don't ship anything since I find shipping as a whole stupid as hell.
It's contradictory because you're saying her character doesn't go beyond Sasuke, yet she has character traits that are independent of Sasuke. Personality and actions determine your character, and she has personality traits that are beyond Sasuke. That makes her character beyond more than just Sasuke, regardless of how much it's beyond, it's beyond.
A fan favorite is simply someone who is liked by far more than he is disliked or is neutral. Jiraiya fits into that category.
I'm not offended by anything you're saying, I just disagree and like debating for the sport of it.
Her personality is not the same as her actions. Obviously she has things about her that have nothing to do with Sasuke, but everything she does seems to revolve around Sasuke.
That's not what I said. Personality traits and actions make up character together. Yes, most of her actions seem to revolve around Sasuke, but she has personality traits that are independent of Sasuke. That makes her character beyond Sasuke, it doesn't completely revolve around him.
Personality traits that are beyond Sasuke? Personality traits are entirely up to the individual themselves. Liking Sasuke doesn't influence her emotions entirely, she could get snarky or angry at Suigetsu for example. However, overall, her only goal is being with Sasuke. Her character still doesn't go beyond Sasuke, feel free to continue disagreeing. Honestly, I'm not changing my stance on this.
.
Isn't that kind of a given though? No one's personality can be wholly shaped by another individual. However, we have no idea where/how Karin developed her personality, so, as far as we know, she exists solely for Sasuke.
By this, I mean she has personality traits that she'd have whether or not Sasuke existed or not. For example, she has craftyness and cleverness, her having those traits aren't because of Sasuke, so they are beyond Sasuke.
I honestly don't care if your stance changes or not. I don't debate to change opinions, I debate because I enjoy it.
All character's personality traits are a result of their personal experiences and environments. This goes for all characters. By your logic, there's no such thing as a simple character. Sure, her personality is beyond Sasuke, since he hasn't been with her all her life and she had a personality before meeting him. That could be the same for any character. Her actions don't go beyond Sasuke though, and imo actions/intent make the character.
I didn't inform you that my stance wasn't changing because I thought you'd care. I said that so that we wouldn't have to continue discussing the same topic repetitively, whilst getting nowhere.
Keep having fun.
Uh oh looks like my fingers slipped.
Punksters opinion is love. Punksters opinion is life.I could never hate someone from the Uzumaki Royalty .
I never said that she wasn't a simple character, or that she was a complex character either. I'm just saying her character can't be completely summed up by "lust for Sasuke."
So what are you the internet police? That's okay. Please, try not to let it happen again. I've heard Elmer's glue works wonders.
Okay, so. Karin has a lot of problems with her charcter and I would agree that it's justifiable to dislike her. But I've seen a lot of people say they "hate that ****" because she actually has some sort of *** drive, unlike most Naruto characters.
I don't see what's wrong with that. She's not afraid to live by her passions. There's nothing "slutty" about her. There's a guy she's attracted to and she wants to make a move on him. I fail to see how this makes her a bad character. No one calls Jiraiya a thot, but they do with Karin? Is it because she's a woman? I'm not the type to scream out "Sexism!" But that's honestly what it looks like to me.
Now, if you dislike Karin for other reasons (like how she's still infatuated with Sasuke after what he's done to her), I will probably agree with you. It just bothers me how people are so quick to brand her a ho.
When you look at it she's the same as Hinata...just without the all in the open attitude.
I think having your family wiped out and then spending years with Orochimaru gives karin the right to be a little mentally unstable/attached to someone
This reminds me of that moment in True Detective when the owner of a whorehouse tells Marty that he has a problem with an underage hooker because it means men no longer have the control over her *** life.
A man who lusts after unattainable women is fine, but not Karin. No one says shit about the fact that Jiraiya still has feelings for Tsunade despite the fact that Tsunade almost killed him, or will we ignore that because Jiraiya is a man and Karin is a woman? It's fine for Jiraiya to have control over his *** life and control it, but as soon as you have a female character that takes control and makes a move, it's no longer funny. J-Man continuously going after Tsunade even though she tried to kill him for a trivial matter like peeking and she's found her soul mate doesn't stop him from being a fan favorite, but Karin is a terrible person for still going after the man she loves despite knowing it wouldn't work and him trying to kill her.
