Re: Suiton

Not bad @_@

(Suiton: Suihachi) – Water Release: Hand of waves
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: the user will produce a fairly powerful jet of water from the user's hand.

Not much to really talk about here. Its very fast to perform and simple as well. the user will release a set of water from the palm of their hands towards the opponent. It has an impact property forcing them back which makes its main purpose is close range battle which is actually very handy. Its also good to douse out certain fire attacks and clear away smoke.

(Suiton: Suishi no Jutsu) – Water Drowning Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After waving the Boar → Dog → Horse → Tiger hand seals, the user will gather a large amount of water to form a large spiraling stream of water. It can be guided to strike a target in a number of angles.
Note: Requires a nearby water source.

Another basic but very flexible attack. After performing the required hand seals they will manipulate a water source to create a streaming water which can be guided by the opponents chakra while maintaining complete focus on it. It can hit a number of targets as well as act as a barrier. You must maintain focus on it but its a handy jutsu. Due to its mobility it can move through tight spaces and hit in angle most would find difficult.

(Suiton: Daibakuryuu) - Water Release: Great Exploding Current
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: User creates a whirlpool that sucks any opponent in range underwater.
Note: Must be performed on a water source

A surprise attack jutsu, while your opponent is standing on top of a water source. With manipulation of the water under the opponent, the user will create a whirlpool which will suck everything in range, that includes yourself if you are caught so be weary. It is considered a jutsu for distractions and set up mainly for attacks. You're opponent must be on a water source.

Re: Suiton

Perform the technique: Making a fist with his right hand, Koumei begins to rapidly knead chakra through his arm before applying nature transformation the moment the chakra is released. Once released, the chakra assumes the appearance of a simple jet of water.
Creative uses/strengths: Its only real strength is the speed in which it is performed and that most water techniques do not originate from one's hands. It'd be useful in a primarily taijutsu/kenjutsu fight, however, it can also be used to create distance for other techniques that may also harm the user otherwise.
Drawbacks/counters: Well, there's no real drawback to the technique, however, it is limited to short-range. The technique is also very simplistic and not particularly strong, so a great deal of earth techniques can easily stop it in its tracks.

Perform the technique: Weaving a sequence of hand-seals: Boar → Dog → Horse → Tiger, Koumei directs his chakra towards the nearby lake and has it draw a sizable volume up and towards a nearby tree in form of a spiraling stream.
Creative uses/strengths: It has some flexibility in its use, so it can be used as either an offensive or defensive move.
Drawbacks/counters: It requires four hand-seals, so there are several other water techniques of the same level even faster to perform. Though the angle in which the stream moves can be manipulated, it requires focus and a consistent output of chakra, on top of needing a nearby source of water. This technique strikes me as something more inclined towards a water specialist. Honestly, most earth techniques will still be just as effective against it as the previous water technique, so long as the opponent times their technique to strike with little room for navigation.

Perform the technique: Directing some of his chakra towards an area of water several meters in front of his current position, Koumei has his chakra manipulate the water by having his chakra move in large spirals.
Creative uses/strengths: I see this technique as a distraction through and through. It's a technique requiring no hand-seals nor any unusual gestures, so it can be used to quickly disrupt an enemy's movements. This technique might also work well against countering certain summonings and some of their attacks/movements. Should the opponent be caught, they will be set up for a strong combination. I consider the direction in which it occurs to also be advantageous, as many water techniques with lethal power are head-on, not likely to come from below. This technique might see some use in certain parts of Amegakure, Kirigakure, and even Kumogakure.
Drawbacks/counters: Heavily reliant on terrain, and often means some technique must be used prior in order to create a large enough body of water. This is also a technique unsafe for CQC, so a strong taijutsu/kenjutsu opponent will never allow an opportunity to use it.

Re: Suiton

Very nice ;D

(Suiton: Kokuun) - Water Style: Black Clouds
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description:After performing the Ram → Snake → Tiger hand seals the user creates a flammable black mist that forms a small cloud. The user can then move the cloud above their target and disperse it, covering the target in flammable oil.

A supplementary jutsu. The user after performing the required hand seals will create a black mist cloud right above the opponent where its size is just big enough to cover a short range of where it is placed but the cloud itself can be moves up to mid range of your own location. The black cloud will begin to rain a flammable substance (oil). It does not cause any restriction of movement but its main purpose is to ignite it with fire to completely burn the opponent severely. Now if you are ever caught using a full body wind jutsu can easily blow the oil away.

(Suiton: Takitsubo) - Water Release: Waterfall Basin
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the required hand seals Boar → Dog → Ram the user creates a waterfall by developing spring water in a place without water veins and manipulating the resulting water current to form a wave. This is a very convenient technique as it can be used for training or relaxation. On the other hand, because it changes the environment on a large scale, it also has the effect of hiding one's location from the enemy by confusing them. The width of the water source, waterfall, and basin can be expended, as long as the user continues to send chakra in.

Basic technique the user does 3 hand seals and controls water veins that run down a mountain making it very location based to use properly. Water will begin to fall from it creating a water fall. The more chakra you send the larger the water fall itself can become. This can be used to set up certain water techniques that require a water source being a good source. It can make your presence if you hide behind it, it be hard for the opponent to find you as well as you can do a surprise attack. Though with sensory and dojutsu users would not be the best idea to do.

(Suiton: Mizu Tsurudan) - Water Release: Water Tendril Bullets
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will manipulate one of their water clones to dissolve back to water and turn into four pointed projectiles that shoot at the target.
Note: Must create a water clone before hand.

After making a water clone it will go close to the opponent and by the will of the opponent, the clone will dissolve back into water and suddenly 4 projectile which are quite sharp will act to try and impale the opponent. You must have a water clone first before you do this tech. You can use the clone to get in close to the opponent making evasion much more difficult to perform. Its also a sudden technique so it can deceive the opponent if used correctly. Its a straightforward tech and after the projectiles have been sent your done from their and you can continue to another tech.

Re: Suiton

Perform the technique: Making a sequence of hand-seals: Ram → Snake → Tiger, Koumei kneads a small amount of chakra and then releases it up into air above his person. As the chakra rises, it assumes the form of black clouds and with some direction, they move several meters away before raining down oil.
Creative uses/strengths: It operates in completely unique manner amongst water techniques, as it can easily enhance fire techniques. It also boasts decent range and can be directed to linger over the enemy or anywhere else for that matter. It'd be most effective if coupled with a fast fire technique or concealed explosive tags.
Drawbacks/counters: This technique does no damage and in many instances, the opponent should be able to remove the oil with little difficulty.

Perform the technique: Atop an earthen rampart, Koumei weaves the Boar → Dog → Ram hand-seals and manipulates the structure so as to have water veins emerge. Within a few brief moments, spring water begins to accrue and is unleashed in the form of a medium-sized waterfall.
Creative uses/strengths: It provides a water source of sorts. I really don't see much use for this technique.
Drawbacks/counters: Okay, so it seems that this technique is actually very limited. In the manga/anime, Yamato first used an earth technique to create a rampart, so significant height is first required prior to this technique. Between the unusual terrain and the lack of any offensive/defensive power, it'd more or less be limited to moments where the user has little chance of danger that turn. It should also be noted that though three hand-seals isn't much, it still alerts the opponent to a technique and provides them an opportunity to react.

Perform the technique: Waiting for just the right moment, Koumei's water clone suddenly disperses. Once the clone has reverted to its elemental basis, four pointed projectiles emerge from the water and zoom right towards the desired target.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique might actually have some use, should the location be suitable. An opponent who initiates an attack towards the clone will find it disappearing, and thus leaving their attack to carry onwards. During the time their technique is in motion, the projectiles will form and force the opponent to react. An additional distraction would help increase likelihood it landed.
Drawbacks/counters: The user must first make a water clone, so chakra will have already been spent prior just to set this technique up, and potentially to a greater extent if a body of water was also made.

Re: Suiton

(Suiton: Mizu Yashiken no Jutsu) - Water Release: Water Palm Blade Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will first strike their target with couple of punches and kicks them lifting the target into the air and the user will then concentrate their chakra into their palm and then swinging their arm in a arc they release chakra creating a cresent blade of water that strike the target.

Okay a straightforward technique. After doing some quick body movement attacks, like punches and kicks. You will finally launch the opponent in the air and while the opponent is airborne the user will concentrate water chakra in their palm and swing it towards the hanging opponent releasing a crescent blade of water which will act to impale the opponent on contact. Now this is a basic technique and very good for close range usage. Having good speed and fluid movement would work well with this jutsu, using drunken fist would be a great combo. An opponent in the air has very little they can do. Ways to counter is if the opponent gets in close range, you can use a armor to hurt their fist. One of the many counters.

( Suiton: Mizu Hashira Suiryoku no Jutsu ) - Water Release: Water Pillar Thrust
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and then they create water to rise up from the ground beneath the target lifting them into the air.

A simple but handy jutsu. It can be used quickly without a hand seals or water source. You can rise a pillar of below the opponent to send them high into the air which from their you can send an attack. Its great for combos. Also you can even use it for yourself to send you mid-air and evade certain attacks and since it causes no damage you can send a attack with no hesitation. If user ever against you, one thing you can do is send a stream of wind to push yourself back to evade attacks.

( Suiton: Haretsu sui Yashi ) - Water Release: Water Bursting Palm
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After making the ram hand seal the user generates water around their right arm and then by thrusting their arm forwards they release the water in the form of a projectile bullet that drives through the opponent pushing them back several feet.

A very basic jutsu. First of all it requires one hand seal and it can only work short range. This is a very large risk to take because though its one hand seal a opponent can easily use a taijutsu move before you fully perform the technique. Its a basic short range attack and nice to use. The user will create a water around their arm and send a projectile bullet which acts to forcefully push the opponent back. Its also fast moving bullet, if you are able to fully perform the technique then evasion is very difficult. A nice jutsu I recommend trying to restrict the opponents movement so you can fully perform it accurately.

Re: Suiton

Perform the technique: Lashing out with a series of quick punches, Koumei then kicks his opponent up off the ground whilst concentrating chakra in the palm of his right hand. Swing his right arm in an arc, he then releases the accrued chakra in the form of a crescent-shaped blade of water.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique can be used fluidly with taijutsu, and offers little room for reactions. As a followup, I might use a technique that manipulates the terrain to strike the opponent as they are momentarily in the air. A few earth techniques and other water techniques come to mind, and I could always go for something less aggressive and use a movement restricting technique.
Drawbacks/counters: This technique first requires a series of punches and kicks, so not only must the user be very close to the opponent, they must actually make physical contact. There are several CQC elemental moves that do not require the usage of taijutsu, so one can easily outspend this specific technique.

Perform the technique: Kneading chakra down his body, Koumei converts the chakra into water and manipulates the emerging water to carry him up several feet off the ground.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique is very simplistic, so there are limited uses for this technique. As you've said, the most typical ways of using this technique are to make either the user or the opponent rise up quickly. I suppose one could also use this technique to overpower incoming fire projectiles and some smaller earth projectiles. Given there is no need for a water source, this technique may actually be somewhat viable.
Drawbacks/counters: It has no offensive power of its own, so this technique is bound to combos as a setup, if not just a defense. Anyone being targeted by this technique can simply ride it and then use Wind Release: Wind Stream Technique once they are in the air.

Perform the technique: After making the Ram hand-seal, Koumei begins to generate water around his right arm. With a single strong thrust, he releases the water in front of him in the form of a moderate-sized projectile bullet of water.
Creative uses/strengths: This might work moderately well in CQC and it can provide an increase in range between the user and the enemy should it strike the latter. It's fairly fast, so it could be used tandem with a fast distraction and take the opponent by surprise.
Drawbacks/counters: This is a vary simplistic technique that leaves little room for complex combinations. The water bullet released from the hand won't be very big and really is best suited for CQC, though as you've said shifting the user's arm at the last moment can also squander the technique, so I could see if attaching chakra strings to the hand and jerking the arm would be viable.

Re: Suiton

I wouldn't use the pillar as a wall or something to stop incoming fire attacks, its an evasion technique, I'm not sure you can but I wouldn't try it since problems can rise.

( Suiton: Seisuiryu ) - Water Release: Azure Water Stream
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will create a moving body of water beneath him that travels towards the opponent carrying the user. They then slash the opponent with their sword multiple times.

Okay this is actually a handy jutsu but is misused many times. The user will simply create a pool of water beneath them which acts to carry the opponent forward. Not side to side, it acts to only move one direction towards the opponent. Its good to evade certain techniques. Now when you reach the opponent, you take out your sword and slash him up to bits. Its a fast acting jutsu so its hard for the opponent to note come in contact though the pool can only move mid range at most. Its a nice jutsu to use for close range battle. A simple counter which you can turn into a offense is electrifying the water, shock the opponents feet.

( Suiton: Nagareru no Muchi ) - Water Release: Flowing Whip
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user first kneads chakra in their mouth and then, placing their hand on their mouth expels water in the form of a whip which they use to lash their opponent, sending them flying backwards.

Okay a streaming water technique meaning you will have to keep constant control over its movement and where you send it. You will basically send a stream of water towards the opponent which acts to lash or whip the opponent and send the back some meters. Now its hard to evade since its streaming so you can specifically aim and control as long as you remain focused. Blocking is the best thing to do for this jutsu as a line of defense.

( Suiton: Shawa ) - Water Release: Showers
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user condenses water vapour in the air above them to generate multiple projectiles of water which shoot at their target with a great amount of force and speed. The user can also shoot a barrage of small water projectiles directly from the swing of their hand.

This is a very useful technique. The user will use water vapor in the air wot create many water projectile attacks. They are very sharp as well as powerful. They can be made anywhere around short-mid range of the user and can be sent anywhere. Since they are projectile based attacks you can use them with combos. Masking kunais would be a smart but basic idea. They are guided by the swing of the users hand when aiming. It is very fast to perform as well as fast moving, perks include how simple but effective it is as well as no water source. Simple blocking of the projectiles can be used.

Re: Suiton

Perform the technique: Kneading chakra beneath his feet, Koumei applies nature transformation and has the accrued chakra assume the form of a small wave of water capable of carrying him several meters forward. As he begins to move forward, he unsheathes his sword and proceeds to cut the target several times.
Creative uses/strengths: Eh, this technique works best with kenjutsu techniques/chakra streaming, but I can also see this being used to safely travel over small spikes (ninja weapon tool), small amounts of fire on the ground, and possibly even the Starch Syrup Capture Field whilst maintaining on offense. This technique is fast to initiate, so it is fairly reasonable.
Drawbacks/counters: Though the technique has its uses, those uses are fairly limited. An enemy could open a chasm or make the water muddy via earth techniques. As you've said, the enemy could also simply strike the water with an electric attack and thus shock the user.

Perform the technique: Kneading a small amount of chakra in his mouth, Koumei releases it whilst applying nature transformation. As water emerge from his mouth, he quickly applies shape manipulation to the water, allowing it to keep a compressed whiplike form as it travels towards the enemy under his control.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique is fast to use, so I'd most likely use it after first disorientating or restricting the opponent's movements.
Drawbacks/counters: It is a stream-based technique, so its power cannot be supplemented very well outside of chronological combinations. Several earthen barricade techniques can completely block this technique, last, and provide coverage for more tactics. The technique is also not particularly large by any means, so I could also see a strong wind/lightning technique simply being directed towards the user, themselves.

Perform the technique: Releasing a small amount of chakra into the air above his opponent, Koumei quickly begins to condense the lingering water vapor. As he draws in the water, he creates several small projectiles of water reminiscent of needles that with a swing of his right arm, come crashing down upon the still unsuspecting opponent.
Creative uses/strengths: I see this technique working very well with earth techniques, primarily those that restrict the enemy's movements. This technique would also work well with some illusions and/or disorientation moves, as the technique begins from well above the enemy's positioning, offering some sort of surprise factor.
Drawbacks/counters: I see no particular drawback to this technique, as though it isn't very destructive, it is of suitable power for its rank. The enemy, to defend, can simply hide underground or fire off a wind technique that blows the needles off trajectory.

Re: Suiton

For the first tech, I would not try to use the wave and go past a ground field with syrup especially the C-Rank version, the chakra would just cancel out and the wave would be halted due to the sticky water fusing in with your water technique basically negating it. Its very iffy.

(Suiton: Hahonryuu) - Water Style: Destruction Torrent
Rank: B
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After waving the Boar → Dog → Ram hand seals, a water vortex created in the palm of the user’s hand that can then be blasted forward creating a spiraling wall of water which can then be used to attack or defend.
Note: No water source required

Basic technique after performing the 3 hand seals required the user will create a vortex around the palm of his hand, then with a thrust aiming towards the opponent he will release it in hopes to attack or defend the opponent. Now it has a couple of hand seals and overall may take some time you can look in the anime yourself to notice. Its nice streaming technique with an intent to harm the opponent in two ways, pushing them back with a powerful thrust, and getting the opponent wet. Other then this notes its basic.

(Suiton: Suiryuudan no Jutsu) - Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet Technique
Rank: B-S-Rank
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20-40
Damage Points: 40-80
Description: After performing a long series of hand seals Ox → Monkey → Hare → Rat → Boar → Bird → Ox → Horse → Bird → Rat → Tiger → Dog → Tiger → Snake → Ox → Ram → Snake → Boar → Ram → Rat → Yang Water → Monkey → Bird → Dragon → Bird → Ox → Horse → Ram → Tiger → Snake → Rat → Monkey → Hare → Boar → Dragon → Ram → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Bird → Yang Water → Rat → Boar → Bird the user then shapes a large amount of water into a giant, powerful dragon, which hits the opponent with formidable might, dealing physical damage. The ideal place to use it is near a body of water, but if the user's skill allows it, it is possible to use it even in a place where there is none. The amount of water used will be in proportion with the user's skill as well as its power which can vary. Ninjas with a primary water specialty will be able to produce up to an S-Rank technique; ninjas with a secondary water specialty will be able to produce up to an A-Rank technique; normal water masters will produce the basic B-Rank technique. Tobirama was able to use this technique with a single hand seal showing testiment to his skill in water ninjutsu.
Note: Requires a water source to use.

A very famous and destructive jutsu that really in my opinion is one of the bests in the suiton list. Now yes unless you specialize in water for your bio, you will have to complete all of those hand seals. After the hand seals is done the user will manipulate the near by water source to rise it and mold its shape to create a very powerful dragon. The user must remain focus during the performance and until he sends the dragon to the opponent. Now it has the raw power to seriously hurt the opponent as well as drench the area, depending on the terrain, where and what type of water source. Little to say its main purpose is to be as offensive as it can be. A huge downside to it is those hand seals. The amount of time to perform them would take very long, in the midst of battle.

(Suiton: Suiryuben) - Water Style: Water Dragon Whip
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user creates an orb of water from which several sharp whips of water emerge. Those whips can then be directed towards one or multiple targets, impaling them on impact.

This is a useful technique, quick and easy as well. With the Tiger hand seal the user will create a orb to appear anywhere he/she desires, I recommend a little but close to you. Now while always remaining focused towards the orb the user will release multiple whips out of the orb directed all over the area where the opponent is. The whips are highly flexible and very fast pace. They can be released anywhere on the orb, and towards any part of the field since it deals a long range.

Re: Suiton

Perform the technique: Forming a short sequence of hand-seals: Boar → Dog → Ram, Koumei releases a moderate amount of chakra down his right arm into the palm of his right hand. As the chakra accumulates, he applies nature transformation and creates a small spiraling vortex of water that with a sweep of his hand can be blasted forward, knocking his opponent back several meters.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique, simple as it is, does have the potential for some combinations. In the manga/anime, Yamato used this in conjecture with Naruto's Wind Release: Rasengan, so it could be used with other similar techniques. Of course, this technique is stream-based, but the possibilities for combinations can be found in the usage of clones or some summonings. This technique would also be fairly useful should the user wish to increase the distance between themselves and their opponent(s).
Drawbacks/counters: This technique is very simple, so the opponent not only will have little trouble dealing with it, they will also have some time to do so as it requires three hand-seals. Decent-powered elemental techniques can easily stalemate it or overpower it.

Perform the technique: Performing a cumbersomely long sequence of hand-seals: Ox → Monkey → Hare → Rat → Boar → Bird → Ox → Horse → Bird → Rat → Tiger → Dog → Tiger → Snake → Ox → Ram → Snake → Boar → Ram → Rat → Yang Water → Monkey → Bird → Dragon → Bird → Ox → Horse → Ram → Tiger → Snake → Rat → Monkey → Hare → Boar → Dragon → Ram → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Bird → Yang Water → Rat → Boar → Bird, Koumei manipulates a large quantity of nearby water and has it assume the general appearance of a large dragon as it slams with incredible force into the opponent.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique can increase in power if a lightning technique is used to electrify it. It would also be a good technique to use should the user have already restricted the opponent's mobility/vision via some earth or water techniques.
Drawbacks/counters: The sheer amount of hand-seals makes this technique almost impossible for non-water specialists to use in combat. Obviously, those with water affinities will love this technique, but most will be greatly restricted by timeframe and what not. Also, though the technique is quite powerful, it can still be halted by most decent-powered earthen barricades or neutralized by techniques of comparable rank.

Perform the technique: Forming the Tiger hand-seal, Koumei creates a fairly large sphere of water a few meters in front of his person. As he concentrates on his technique, manipulates the sphere into forming eight sharp whips that emerge with alarming speed as they streak towards the enemy.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique is indeed quite nice for the reasons you've stated. Once again, this technique could be used well in tandem with an electric attack from a clone or summoning. Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld or one of the weighting-increasing techniques would definitely assist. Other useful moves would be blinding techniques.
Drawbacks/counters: This technique requires concentration to maintain and techniques meant to counter the attack only need to strike the sphere when it forms so as to disrupt the rest of it. Of course, one could simple make an earthen wall too.

Re: Suiton

(Suiton: Teppoudama) - Water Release: Gunshot
Rank: B/A-Rank
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20/30
Damage Points: 40/60
Description: The user will do the Tiger handseal and will gather water in his mouth and then spits out either a single very large sphere of rotating water that can blast a huge area leaving it soaked or a series of up to 5 smaller yet faster bullets. The power of the technique depends on how much chakra the user inputs into it.

This is a very convenient technique which has a large amount of mobility which is a reason why I like it. The user will do one hand seal and spew out a fast rotating ball of water towards the opponent. You can send 1-5 balls of water and the attack potency depends on just how much chakra you add onto it. Sending one bullet is much more powerful and has ability to rip through even the strongest defenses. While sending more but small bullets are much more faster as well as tougher to evade. You can use this tech as a finishing move or to distract the opponent sending projectile water bullets over and over again. It has a large amount of purpose. Ways to counter are simple, projectiles are usually straightforward so blocking is easy as well as certain evasion methods.

(Suiton: Mizu Kamikiri) - Water Release: Rising Water Slicer
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user creates a fast jet of water running through the ground that is powerful enough to slice through solid rock.

One of the very simple techniques. The user after doing one quick hand seal will rise a large amount of water from the ground. The water is manipulated to form into a jet slice of water. The user can send it towards the opponent as a projectile. While it is moving it literally rips through ground towards the opponent. This can even effect the terrain to a extent by preventing the opponent from using the ground as freely as they want as well as since its cracked up even afterward it will remain so. I like to send lightning towards it to even crack around the ground and have a better attack potency. It can block through attacks while moving.

( Suiton: Suishinshu ) - Water Release: Water Quaking Pillar
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user jumps into the air and then stabs his sword into the ground, where he causes water to burst up around him and creating a pillar of water to rise up in the air repelling the enemy.

Okay the user will send suiton chakra into their sword and jump into the air and when reaching the ground stab it in the ground causing a water pillar to rise up right under the opponent, this will send the opponent high into the air while pushing them back. Now Its a tough tech to decide to use, you will have to jump into the air first leaving you vulnerable to attacks, I recommend that to use this technique if you were on top of a summon and jump down a large summon and then use the technique. This way your less vulnerable and less prone to attack. Now when the pillars sets a gush of water will appear first then launch the opponent. Now when they are in the air you are left to continue quickly to another attack giving you full freedom. You will have to stab the sword though short range of the opponent in the ground so he/she will most likely have visual contact on you. This can have them anticipate your move, be weary.

Re: Suiton

Perform the technique: Forming the Tiger hand-seal, Koumei briefly needs a moderate amount of chakra within his mouth before just as quickly expelling it. As the chakra is released, it assumes the properties of a condensed mass of water akin to a giant bullet.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique works well as part of an aerial assault (referencing Gamabunta's usage of it) and most summonings capable of achieving such heights. Given its speed and projectile nature, the user could electrify their attack(s) and increase the overall power.
Drawbacks/counters: The best method of dealing with this technique is indeed through the use of evasive techniques. So long as the technique is coming from a human or other relatively "small" individual, one could use Earth Release: Earth Release Technique to create a pillar beneath their feet capable of sending themselves backwards.

Perform the technique: Forming the Tiger hand-sela, Koumei plants one hand not the ground in front of him and releases a moderate amount chakra with a linear trajectory towards his opponent. As the chakra is released, it assumes the form of a pressurized, slicing torrent of water easily capable of traveling directly through the ground.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique works perhaps best against incoming or still forming earth techniques, especially against some of the weaker ones. As the technique can rise up from the ground to an extent supposedly capable of striking a jumping target, it can also be used to overcome some fire techniques whilst still carrying on towards the enemy.
Drawbacks/counters: This technique works by traveling through the ground, so is limited by the presence of the proper medium. Also, though it may reach up to mid-range, evading it would not be overly hard as its form is very compact and does not extend above the ground to any truly great height.

Perform the technique: Jumping straight up into the air (1m), Koumei then momentarily kneads chakra throughout his sword. Having allowed the chakra to accrue a fair amount of chakra, he then tosses his sword point-first into the ground beneath his current position and with nature transformation, a fairly large pillar of swirling water rises up around his person to protect him from an incoming attack.
Creative uses/strengths: The user can use this technique to fulfill a few roles. For example, though the technique's primary purpose is to act as a moderately dangerous deterrent/defense, it can also limit the foe's visibility of the user whilst also allowing them an opportunity to create a hard-to-detect followup. A small, fast wind technique in particular would serve as a nice followup.
Drawbacks/counters: This technique suffers from the necessitation of a particularly weird gesture: jumping into the air and dropping their sword into the ground. It is indeed an obvious sign of a potential attack and should the enemy utilize something along the lines of Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld, only may find their water technique faltering, their sword nowhere to be seen, and their landing in danger of restricting their physical movements.

Re: Suiton

( Suiton: Seiryusho ) - Water Release: Azure Dragon Palm
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user unleashes a spiralling torrent of water from his hands.

Very simple the user will send a torrent of water from their hands towards the opponent short range from them. Now this is a great close combat attack I recommend it highly when you get in a position to a taijutsu fighter who is giving you a hard time. Its very fast to create no hand seals whatsoever, its simple as you can tell from the description. Nothing much more to add on here.

( Suiton: Shizuka Yari ) - Water Release: Droplet Spear
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: Using their skills with water release, the user creates an orb of water in their hand which they can then release in the form of multiple spearing streams, that they can use to attack their enemy from multiple directions or in spirals.

The user will create a orb of water acting as a miniature water source, because when the orb is created the user will manipulate it once again to form multiple spears of streaming water (4-6 seen in the game) which are used to attack the opponent with a barrage of this spears to impale the opponent. This is actually a fast moving technique and fast to perform, I recommend using it when you get close range of the opponent. The speed of them spears would be to fast for the opponent to react to them all at once. You must keep concentration though to send the streams, so if you want to send another jutsu you must release this one. Its not a projectile based technique. Its flexible nature allows the streams to be sent at any direction or area of the body, making it hard on the opponent.

( Suiton: Nagareru no Yari ) - Water Release: Flowing Spear
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user creates crescent shaped blades of water, which follow the arcs of their hand movements attacking opponents infront of them or they can twirl around while generating the crescent blades to attack all around them.

This is similar another great short range technique, which can still be used from mid. Now with simple hand movements the user will create water shaped crescents in a very fast motion. Another technique where you can attack any area you want by a simple hand wave, it acts to impale the opponent and the water crescents move fast. Must keep concentration for them though. A great add in is you can move around and twirl while still generating the crescents, so you can in short evade or block while still sending the multiple crescents hitting the opponent.

Re: Suiton

Perform the technique: Kneading a fair amount of chakra in both his hands, Koumei then extends them forward and releases the accrued chakra in the form of a fairly-large spiraling torrent of water aimed at the enemy.
Creative uses/strengths: Yes, this technique works best in CQC. Given how fast the technique is, in regards to initiation, I see it as not just a means of forcing back a strong taijutsu opponent, but also setting up a combination. A good way to follow up would be with a quick lightning release attack or wind release blade, which would keep the enemy pressured a fair deal.
Drawbacks/counters: There's no particular drawback to this technique as it doesn't require any hand-seals or any strange gestures, and would be very difficult to react to and defend against if done within fist-striking range of the opponent. A good counter would probably be Earth Release: Earth Spear Technique, as one could immediately protect whatever part of their body is being targeted and then the rest of it.

Perform the technique: Gathering a fair amount of chakra in the palm of his right hand, Koumei applies nature transformation as it is released in the form of an orb of water. As the orb takes form, he then proceeds to release several spearing streams from it that streak towards the opponent in an attempt to impale him/her.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique is fast and has pretty nice range, so I would probably use this right after first distracting the opponent. A technique I might use prior to this one is Earth Release: Mudshot, which would be easy to perform in CQC and follow.
Drawbacks/counters: This technique, like the one above, could be defended against quite well with Earth Release: Earth Spear Technique. One could also create a chasm or something beneath the user forcing them to cancel their technique.

Perform the technique: Kneading chakra down his arms and into both his hands, Koumei then makes several chopping gestures towards the opponent. As each chop of the hand is completed, a portion of the accrued chakra is released in the form of a crescent-shaped blade of water that follows the trajectory of his chop.
Creative uses/strengths: Once again, a fairly nice technique for use in CQC. This technique, in and of itself, would be a great way to apply pressure to the opponent, as the user can make more than crescent-shaped blade. Once the opponent is drenched in water, they can be finished off with a lightning technique. Once again, I also see Earth Release: Mudshot as a nice potential early move for a combo. It is also nice that one can stay in one position and release them in a circular motion.
Drawbacks/counters: The user must remain focused throughout the duration of the technique, so one way to stop the technique would be to limit their sight/mobility or simply release a large, powerful wind technique towards them forcing them to defend.

Re: Suiton

(Suiton: Ja No Kuchi) - Water Release: Water Snakes Mouth
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the required hand seals Monkey → Rat → Tiger → Dragon → Horse → Dragon it then allows the user to generate a spinning column of water which will take the form of a snake with a gaping jaw. This snake can twist and follow its targets and swallow them. After it has swallowed them, it turns into a river that carries the enemy away.

A handy jutsu for some scenarios. Now after performing the required hand seals the user will summon a pillar of water out the ground and form it into a snake which they send towards the enemy as a projectile based attack. Now their are some small perks with this jutsu. One being it can follow the opponent but for this feature you must stay concentrated on it. So if you send it as a projectile its straightforward but if you control it, it becomes impossible to go onto the next tech. Makes having a clone nice. Also when it engulfs the opponent, it turns into a river of water which carries him away. I would send a lightning current when it becomes a river. Its best used in caves, then in open space fields.

(Suiton: Funshutsu Mizu Kinko) - Water Release: Gushing Water Imprisonment
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates a flow of gushing water under the opponent which traps them in a sphere of water. The user can perform an attack while the opponent is trapped. This jutsu is similar to Water Prison Technique, though the user doesn't need to keep his arm in the sphere of water.
Note: Technique creates its own water source

Very similar to the weaker version, its concept is basically the same to trap the opponent in a circle of water. Now it can create its own water source so this can be created in any terrain but a problem is it takes a while for it to fully form so a opponent can use the split second to counter it. Shooting mud at the core can easily stop the water from fully forming. When the opponent is caught the user can't use any technique since they must be focused on the water. Its meant to suffocate the opponent to death. Having a ally, summon, or clone can help finish the opponent off when trapped. If you are ever caught in this sphere there is not much you can really do, so be cautious. Setting this up with combos is great as a finisher so its combo friendly.

(Suiton: Mizurappa) - Water Release: Water Horn
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After waving the Dragon → Tiger → Rabbit hand seals, the user creates a big jet of water that is launched from their mouth. This technique works exceptionally well with Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique to help it become like cement.

Another very basic technique. After doing 3 hand seals the user will send a jet of water towards their mouth which moves at intense speed making it hard for evasion, its also quite combo friendly as a finisher and requires no water source. It is a streaming type technique meaning you must keep streaming it towards the opponent, and it acts to push the opponent pack with power. It is straightforward but can be handy for use.

Re: Suiton

Perform the technique: Performing a sequence of hand-seals: Monkey → Rat → Tiger → Dragon → Horse → Dragon, Koumei then releases a fair amount of chakra towards his opponent. As the chakra is released, it assumes the form of a giant snake's gaping jaw that forcefully overwhelms the opponent and carries them many meters away as it devolves into a river.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique boasts considerable raw power and great range, on top of being able to create a river to drag the opponent away. I concur with the usage of a lightning release technique as a followup, however, one could also create several sharp earthen hazards much further down along the course the technique will carry the opponent. Really, I could see all three being used one after the other: water technique strikes opponent causing damage and sending them back, lighting technique paralyzes/shocks already disorientated opponent, and earth spears/spikes impale the unsuspecting target.
Drawbacks/counters: Six hand-seals can expend a fair amount of time, so many times the opponent will have time to either prepare a defense or straight up go on the offensive. This technique is also not strong enough to overcome most of the standard earthen barricades that one may create.

Perform the technique: Kneading chakra into the ground beneath his unsuspecting opponent, a flow of gushing water is created that quickly maneuvers to completely entrap them. As the water restricts the enemy's movements, Koumei then has his clone deliver the finishing blow in the form of a powerful lighting release technique.
Creative uses/strengths: A fairly strong technique which has increased viability from reaching up to mid-range and not requiring its own source of water. So long as the opponent is trapped in the sphere, a great many techniques could be used as a followup. I could see lighting, ice, sound, etc being particularly effective in ending the match, should the user have access to any of them.
Drawbacks/counters:

Perform the technique: Forming a brief sequence of hand-seals: Dragon → Tiger → Rabbit, Koumei kneads a fair amount of chakra in mouth before expelling it in the form of a powerful jet of water.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique is of moderate use. It can be used to spread things like quicklime, mud, etc. whilst also striking the enemy with great force. I suppose this technique could be used as a finisher, but I'd be more inclined to use one of the two other techniques mentioned above in a combination before this one, unless I was a quicklime user.
Drawbacks/counters: This technique can only be used at mid-range, so it's usage is a bit limited in comparison to other water-stream techniques. There are techniques of greater speed and power, that have better range and require less hand-seals (ex: Water Release: Severing Wave).

Re: Suiton

You forgot the drawback point of the template specifically with the second jutsu, just re-do that part so we can continue.

Re: Suiton

Ah, that part must've gotten lost when I refreshed the page prior to posting.

Drawbacks/counters: Like you've said, countering this technique comes down to taking advantage of the brief moment it takes for it to fully form. One could use Earth Release: Earth Release Technique to propel themselves away from the forming sphere. One could also use Earth Release: Greater Mudshot to make the water too muddy for manipulation. Fast evasive techniques work well.

Re: Suiton

(Suiton: Haran Banshō) - Water Release: Stormy Blockade
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will slam their hands against then ground allowing him/her to summon a massive amount of water from the sky, crushing it into the opponent. If needed, the user can cancel the technique in an instant.
Note: The water needs to be summoned at least 10 meters above the opponent to have any real effect.

Okay now the opponent will slam their hands on the ground which will summon a large amount of water right above the opponent. Now the water does not have much of a attack potency. Its main components include distractions and combos. Now when the water crash onto the opponent it crushes them and pushes down on them, restricting movement of the opponent. Its a great combo to use to try and attack the opponent from all areas. Now their are two main ways to combo this, one being it creates a shadow over the opponent, and it will drip water down depending on where and how high the opponent places the water, usually 10 meters is best to place it. I use it to attack from above and then attack from below using some spikes. Its a basic combo but effective.

(Suiton: Mizugakure no jutsu) - Water Release Hidden Amongst Water Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and then blend in with a water source to be undetected by the enemy for a short period of time. However Sensory Ninja and Doujutsu users can find the enemy easily within the water source.

Okay now this is a nice jutsu to use if used correctly. Now you must be close range of the water, by releasing your water chakra through the water you can sink into the water and pretty much blend and be one with the water. This is a great jutsu to use for snick attacks as well as giving yourself time to map out a certain plan. Its nice for infiltration as well. Now you can only stay in the water for a short period of time; you can't live in their if you know what I mean. Also its a useless jutsu if used against a sensory as well as dojutsu user they will easily detect you. You can blend into any natural water source so small you can blend into pounds of water.

(Suiton: Bakusui Shōha) - Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user performs the snake hand seal and creates a large volume of water from their mouth spilling it toward the ground and lifting them up into the air. The user can also ride the wave, allowing him to travel at high speeds and attacking the enemy. The user can create a small ocean worth of water even in barren conditions and can use the water for additional techniques.

Okay after one hand seal without the need of any water source the opponent will spew a high volume of water out their mouth towards the ground, the process while spewing the water is the water will travel very fast through the ground covering the terrain as well as lift the opponent upward due to the pressure the water gives off, that can allow certain air evasions upward. Now the water can easily transform a barren wasteland to a ocean. Its great to put out fire or use the terrain to your advantage. The water can be used to ride at high speed for close range battle. This jutsu can also create its own water source for the user. Overall a handy jutsu.

Re: Suiton

Perform the technique: Slamming both of his hands on the ground, Koumei rapidly releases a fair amount of chakra into the air above his opponent and his it assume the properties of water via nature transformation. Defending from a height of 10m, the resulting impact of it making contact with the opponent will brutally crush them.
Creative uses/strengths: This technique descends from the air and thus can take an opponent by surprise or force them to divert their attention. It doesn't require any hand-seals and can be used in tandem with something that alters the ground one way or another.
Drawbacks/counters: The main drawback to this technique is that it must form well above the opponent for it to truly harm them and the opponent will usually have enough time to react. Also, this technique cannot be used whenever the user likes, as they too could be caught in its descent and thus, crushed. Hiding underground via an earth technique could work, or perhaps an evasive technique depending on the water volume of the technique.

Question: Generally speaking, how much water is formed and can it potentially be enough to form a body of water?

Perform the technique: Manipulating his chakra nearby a puddle, Koumei mimics the properties of water and subtly blends into into the water source, making it impossible for the average person to detect his presence.
Creative uses/strengths: Yeah, this technique really only works as a setup for a sneak attack or brief concealment. I'd probably use this via a clone or a summoning capable of using it, and have them hide during something like a mist/dust technique. When needed, they could emerge and take most opponents by surprise.
Drawbacks/counters: This technique is neither defensive nor offensive, and it's completely useless against Dōjutsu and sensors. Essentially, if this technique is carelessly used, it could mean the end of the battle, and in favor of your opponent. Should the opponent see the user hide in the water, they just need to assault the water one way or another (mud, lightning, etc).

Perform the technique: Making the Snake hand-seal, Koumei quickly kneads a substantial amount of chakra in his mouth. Releasing the chakra as he opens his mouth, it quickly assumes the properties of water and so much of it, that he is actually carried up off the ground as the once barren terrain is rapidly converted into a large lake.
Creative uses/strengths: I also believe this to be a fairly useful technique. It can create a body of water for additional combinations/techniques, it can be used to attack/defend with, and it can be used to evade some techniques. Also, it doesn't require much chakra or much time to perform. Also, this can provide enough water for most aquatic summonings.
Drawbacks/counters: There's no real drawback to this technique, other than that if it is used to create a body of water right under the user, they will not be able to use some earth techniques. A good way to deal with this technique would be to just disrupt the ground beneath it, by making a chasm or something akin to one.
