Should I buy a PC that I can use to record my console gameplay via elgato first or go out and buy the PS4 before the PC? I'm stuck on this decision, any help is welcome >.<

To be honest, buy the ps4, so you can get used to ps4.
you can just use a shitty pc in the meanwhile.

There's really no games I can record on PS4 at the moment that are any good from my knowledge. Also the PC I've found is the same price as the PS4 too.

PC has already established itself light years ahead of any console. Take PC + the Witcher 3.

I'm not really looking to game on the PC right now, mainly for video editing and most of my friends are on PS4.

I just use my ps4 to stream live gameplay,or record part of the game that I like and upload it on facebook, etc.
You should just wait on the PC.

Don't be a fool, buy a ps4. All your friends got it, it's built around connectivity and multiplayer is phenomenal on most games and it has a bright future ahead of it.

It's the obvious choice, but you seem like you already knew what you wanted when you made this.

lol @bold This generation of console wont last more than 6-7 years, even if it did it would be a total disaster. Outdated chips and no backward compatibility support is what pulling the thing down from heights. Ain't even gonna argue about multiplayer, cause 9/10 players are ten year olds on nearly every single ****ing game, yelling with their voices which haven't even hit puberty yet.

Depends on whether you want many restrictions, or nearly none at all.

If you are into video editing and stuff, PC is the one which you go for. Since you are just gonna game on PS4, just buy a PC and game on it. PC allows you to edit your videos, play games which PS4 does not have and the list goes on and on.

Maybe your PC is shitty but mine has 2x ATI 7850's which is twice the graphical power over the PS4 which only has one which is powered by a shitty cellphone architecture based 1.6ghz 8 core compared to my 5.0ghz 6 core AMD vishera CPU which is water cooled.

Which then has a dedicated sound card, the sound blaster z for richer audio, more HDD space & 16gb of ram.

When using terms like PC, know that you are speaking of every PC out there. Why would someone wish to restrict themselves so heavily to a console? Lower graphics, lower multiplayer due to lower server functionality, can't mod, games cost more (often $20 more) and is more expensive in the long run? Oh and good luck whenever PSN goes down like it did a few weeks back.

There's really no games I can record on PS4 at the moment that are any good from my knowledge. Also the PC I've found is the same price as the PS4 too.

Should link the PC. Also if you're going to go into PC gaming, build your own.

ps4. PC is meh

#ShotsFired

Hardware: The PS4 is a PC. It has x86 architecture but is confined to a shitty cellphone type CPU 1.6ghz and an Ati 7850. Not a bad GPU but it's not going to max things out on a comparable level to what a gaming PC can offer. Also it lacks functionality compared to a PC. Both the Xbox one and PS4 are built with x86 architecture. They already lost in the PC debate because it's comparing a fully built and customized gaming PC to a computer found in your grandma's closet. Not saying that the hardware of it is that bad, just that it's stuck with that hardware, and the hardware chosen for it isn't even top of the line, while the PS4 is confined to that hardware for the next 6-7 years or even 8 years, the PC will have around 10x it's GPU power. Hell the 7970's alone are 2x the power of a 7850 and that card was out in 2011, the same year as the 7850 because it's in the same series of cards. The ATI HD 9970 is 3x the power of the 7970 which is 2x the power of the 7850. That means that card is already around 6x more powerful than your PS4. Computer hardware already had the PS4 beat, before it was released for sale. Yes, from a dev stand point you can code for the PS4's hardware to make games run smoother than they should, tweak settings, squeeze fps out of games. However, there's only so much you can do before the the restrictions of the hardware limit the game's capabilities. Which, hardware already always limits game engine capabilities. However, PC game's can be modded on hardware that far exceeds the PS4's thus giving a direct graphical advantage. PC's can game at 4k resolution while a console rarely get's to see a 1080p game. At first you may see 1080p tittles for the consoles, however, like every generation once they try to keep up with computers in graphics they end up increasing the game effects to the point of which they end up lowering frame rates and resolutions of the games for increased performance...or the feel of "normal" performance. Which actually degrades the quality of the games dramatically. Kind of funny.

Controllers: I hear this a lot "PC cann't use a game pad!"

Take your pick. Or hell, build your own game pad.

The great TV debate: I hear this one often. "why would I game on a shitty small monitor at my desk!"
Plug up your damn HDMI cable from your PC to your tv. For f*cks sake that argument just makes the people who spout that look even more computer illiterate.

Games: "PC has no games!". Actually, it has every game except console exclusives. It even has games created by regular people and small companies that aren't ready to let their developers starve. It also has games of which are the most played in the world, WoW (10 million subs currently)and LoL.

My friends play on Ps4's only tho:
Then educate them. They're most likely not 12 years old and still believe that console's beat PC's.

I prefer console over pc due to the fact on how simple it is.
Quit pc gaming a long time ago.

Anyways on topic to the OP.

If you're still deciding on which to get,you can always buy the PS4 and use the console video editing app (add music, face cam, etc) and start off there.
I'm thinking about starting PC gaming again just to make some Youtube money...
That's what I'm planning to do right now as a point to start on my YouTube channel then once I have enough money saved up for a new pc,mic, etc then I will move on.

Blah blah, just sounds like your hating from the bottom. Consoles life spans are always estimated at that time frame around release but it's proved wrong time and time again. I don't see any PC selling millions worldwide on release. It's not even about that but the console community is the majority, discrediting consoles at this point is jackassary.

9/10 players are ten year olds. <--------- Lol

That's a vague insult that discredits the whole adult gaming community which is huge. Take off your imaginary crown and just enjoy gaming and it's success. Your need to discredit or belittle the ps4 over nothing is pointless. We've all played PC games or have owned one, it's not that great. Calm down.

Lmao, i cant.... seriously? Are you that stupid? Can you not see the difference of graphical progress from last gen to current gen? When last gen was released it had enough specs to silk play nearly every game cause graphics were not that progressed back then... until 2012, games began to show tremendous Fps drops, which was quite honestly expected. Current gen however, has not even lasted 2 full years without showing a great drop in fps, AC Unity for example, drops as low as 19 fps, even after the patch it has 25-28 fps drops, MC collection... lol 60 fps my ass, Halo 2 has countless areas where frame rates drop to point its unbearable. Why? because of outdated chips and as yard described "shitty cellphone type cpu".

Now if you'd have told me that 5 years ago, i'd have believed you but in 2015 it's a fact that there's a 99% chance you will find a kid in every server. FPS, TPS, Mature 17+ regardless of what game.... an annoying brat will clog your game and snatch the fun away. Funny how you say PC releases... lol you're clueless. PC only got one release and that was decades ago.

The only thing left for you console tards to point out is the ****ing couch and how you play your console sitting on it. well, allow me.

1. Get a Gamepad (which btw you can build better than the crappy ps4 one)
2. connect it to your PC
3. Sit on the couch and play on 60+ FPS with better graphics.

So why not accept the truth and move on? Just because you have something doesn't make it the best. expand your experience.

And you're entitled to that terrible opinion. But gaming is more than that and honestly PC isn't worth it.

Awe how cute someone who hasn't done any research and doesn't know enough about computers in general to discuss this topic.

I don't see any PC selling millions worldwide on release.

That's because computers are upgradable and the majority of people who PC game build their own PC. In the PC gaming world, building the PC is the obvious choice, why the hell would people want to buy the PC unless they're brain dead and can't do 45min worth of work? The fact you even said that sentence shows how ignorant you are to the topic that you don't even know that most people build their own gaming PC.

All it takes is a
Motherboard
CPU
GPU
HDD
PSU
RAM
Disk drives
Case

The reason people build their own instead of buying a gaming computer?
Gaming computer stores that sell gaming PC's will 90% of the time have parts that bottleneck it's other parts. A CPU that bottlenecks the GPU for example. A lot of online stores offer customization however their lists are very small compared to going to a website like newegg or amazon and looking up the parts you want yourself. You can also often find the parts cheaper. What you just said is the equivalent of asking why a race car driver doesn't just go buy a stock car with slightly high end parts, why do they often build the engines themselves/have someone do it? I hope you understand now why your statement is stupid. My PC for example already beat the PS4 before it came out, it already had a n ati 7850 gpu in it which is the gpu/apu that is in the PS4 (Only better because it's actually dedicated and not an APU.) My CPU was a 4.1ghz 6 core cpu. It beat the cpu of the APU of the ps4. Therefore I bought a 2nd ati 7850 and crossfired the two gpu's together. Then I oc'ed my cpu from 4.1ghz to 5.0ghz and added a water cooler. therefore, why would I buy completely new parts and start over from scratch when the motherboard of my PC can still have better CPU's and GPU's? What is the PC to you? To a PC builder, a PC is parts built together into a PC. So why scrap every part when you haven't even maxed out what you have and technology is still advancing with the sockets you still have in your motherboard? Until AMD comes out with an AM4 socket, it'll keep making CPU's that surpass the PS4's APU. (AMD made that APU btw for the computer illiterate, that means AMD made the hardware for the PS4, also for the Xbone, AMD is a PC gaming hardware company that makes CPU's and GPU's. you're welcome. -love PC gaming community). So, AMD hasn't came out with a new cpu socket and caused AMD motherboards to need to be replaced if you want to upgrade further and are still expanding on the socket where cpu's have been in that's been kicking consoles asses for the passed 5 years. (AM2 CPU's kicked it as well. Phenoms were amazing for their time). So why would we suddenly scrap the motherboard and CPU? I can go on and on about how stupid of a statement that was that you made...I think I will.

You can also overclock your CPU and GPU, and RAM even to get more performance.
I currently have more GPU power than a 7970 due to this with my 7850's OC'd. So why would I scrap something that already beats the PS4 and will continue to do so for it's entire generation? Just because the PS4 was released after I bought the parts? No that's the mind of a console only buyer who's had no experence with anything else. You see it as outdated, you go by dates alone and throw the old out for the new. However as a PC builder, my motherboard alone will last probably throughout this generation and half the next if I were playing console only games at console settings and didn't want to max out games that can use more resources than limited consoles.

Btw, PC's aren't "released". You're thinking of consoles. We get newer advanced hardware which comes in a series of hardware with price ranges which scale up in terms of hardware performance. Then we've not only got AMD, but intel and nvidia to compete against each other in who can top one another in benchmarks or lower price ranges. The top of the line hardware surpases what the consoles have, you have a 7850, don't act so prideful, when the 7850 was out there were also 7870's, 7950's, 7970's and 7990's.
Sony chose a mid range card. We now have a 9000 series being released soon. There's actually an 8k series but it's currently only for APU builds. The PS4 lost the hardware debate before it was released and if you knew anything about computers you'd know that's what wins in performance, hardware.

We've all played PC games or have owned one, it's not that great. Calm down.

lol You've never had an actual gaming PC so you wouldn't know.
This is my custom built PC. Show me yours ^^
