*one of my older poems, rmx-ed a bit, enjoy the read.
A single feather holds us higher than we can imagine;
Freedoms it gives, we wish we had them.
We'll soar into the skies towards the sun;
Then say that our accomplishments were well done.
However it's sad to say, most are held down by metal,
The times advance, so do the tools we use to mettle.
All this work seems too much in so little time;
If we don't get it all done should it be a crime.
We hope to one day replace flesh and bone;
And create convenience to the human race we condone.
What happens next when machine starts to work for man;
Are we all gonna be on the beach all day getting tanned.
When our food collecting tools break down,
What will be there to maintain the plants in the ground.
How about the plants, land animals and the fish,
Is this high-tech dream a solution or a broken wish.
How will we survive when these things don't last;
Will we be able to still learn from the past.
We'll be able to spark up fires and keep warm,
Keep away from the animals and other beasts that harm.
It's only up to us to say,
For it's the paths that we choose, even on this very day.
If we will continue, to grow and thrive,
Or are we gonna get wiped clean, just like a hard disk drive?
Freedoms it gives, we wish we had them.
We'll soar into the skies towards the sun;
Then say that our accomplishments were well done.
However it's sad to say, most are held down by metal,
