Great you're here. So it's time to how to better yourself in all aspects, and first of all we are going to look at jutsu that you yourself can use.
If you truely want to be jiraiya you with use earth, fire, nin, tai, toads and his hair jutsu. WIth these you can counter and pretty much avoid any form of attack, not in the typical my nuke vs your nuke sense, but in a unique sense.
If you like i'll give you some examples?

i have always had my mind set on a lot of elements and ways to avoid and defend, but never thought it easy to think of ideas with earth and fire alone, but I know it is possible.
of course i would like for you to give me some examples on how to avoid attacks of different kinds with Jiraiyas personal techniques and earth and fire of course.

alright *prepares to attack sensei!*
I start out by first causing the ground beneath you to swirl inwards sucking you into it while the ground and you would be crushed together. Also may cause you to lose footing and balance.
(Doton: Retsudo Tenshō) - Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm
Right after that I quickly release a powerful blast of wind which levels anything in its path towards you.
(Fūton: Atsugai) - Wind Style: Pressure Damage

we are fighting in a generic battle field with grass all around, a water source to my right, your left. There are trees surrounding the battlefield, like right out of long-range reach. its cloudy with a chance of meatballs >__> and yea i think thats it
So as with all battles i need to counter your turning palm first so i can do one of two things, use the terrain to my advantage or just try and take advantage of the situation.
So lets do both.
My first option, you said trees? I'm thinking, i'll shoot my hair out to the trees and pull myself out of the earth with my hair and in doing so pulling myself so far out of the way i could avoid your wind, if not, being a master of fire, i release B rank or above fire to defend.
Second option. What else does jiraiya have going for him? Toads. Summon gamabunta under you. You didn't say how big the turning palm is but we both know, gamabunta is bigger, and in the same way, you now have another person on the field to attack with, who can use water. If not, my custom elemental toads are now cannon i believe being in the jutsu list, summon one of them to use an element that you are not able to. So you know you can counter the with with fire being jiraiya, what can't you counter? lightning is hard, so go for wind toad.

i like the first one, since I have a hard time finding good uses of his hair jutsu besides his defensive one where he covers himself in hair. Though i like the use of his needle attack xD
the second one is nice too, i think Gamabunta is strong enough too to take blunt force of some techniques, but smart move overall. O__O Gamabunta is cool but not my favorite, i like Gamaken more >__> with is badass shield and fork like thingy XD

Well i'll need to look into it more but i think with gamaken his shield has a certain about of defence but either way a summoning is good. As for the hair, you can make your hair A rank and solid and attack at any point or shoot hair senbon to deflect so main kunai. How can you not love it?

I love his hair jutsu, remember you taught me your own cj >__> i love dem senbon needles and that badass lion mane technique XD and indeed your toad summons are now canon

anyways seems like with jiraiya if your being attacked from the ground or with small attacks, the smart thing to do is to make a big ass toad appear to be a douche to your opponents XD or be an even bigger douche and dodge or stop their attack with badass hair O__O

Indeed, but toads and hair aren't his only allys, though they are great advantage. You weren't around at the time, but i used to trick opponents and make them kill themselves and this is how.
i'd wait for them to use a giant attack like fire blast so they can't see me, just as it's about to hit i'd say my character screams but then i go underground fusing with the earth, appear behind them silently and fuse into their shadow, and make them kill themselves, toad flat shadow control was so fun

oh my god that is genius O__O i figured how to use Toad Flat Shadow Control, but i have always had difficulty in getting close to my opponents except for the people who are better taijutsu fighters than me, but that seems like a really smart move indeed. but i wonder, since the hiding like a mole is not silent, what technique allows you to emerge silently, though the fire would cover the sound i presume XD
Jiraiya has such a wide arsenal of techniques, i can see that you just need to know how to use it. I noticed that there is that one where you turn your opponent into a toad by placing your hand on their head, which seems like mission impossible?

Right so, there is actually an A ranked ninjutsu or maybe is B ranked, either way, you merge with the ground, orochimaru uses it, will find it if you need me to, but you can use that, there is undeground fish protection jutsu (might have been renamed) was c rank earth i think. Hiding like a mole is the most generic but useless to be honest.
Now to turn them into a toad, i've only done this a couple of times, but jiraiya is a tai user goes hand in hand with sage mode. You go for the tai attack and get in close, then, bam, you hit them with a binding jutsu of some sort or find a way to get a clone in their, being the way the rp is now, nagashi will be thrown at you before you get there...

Nah i think i know the technique your talking about, and yup fish protection jutsu is the name of it, i believe it is quite handy. And yea Taijutsu is not my fort, but it may become it, just need the practice XD and besides that not many people seem to want close range combat in our rp these days that is why they go all nagashi on your butt. Binding technique you say, a good idea for that would maybe be if you are in Sage Mode with Ma and Pa, you could force a close combat fight with your speed and strength, utilize Frog Kata to your advantage while Ma and Pa bind them with their illusion? then finish them off or play with them turning them into a toad? xd

Well in my opinion, i feel that I do not have much experience in it seeing that I have not really used it that much, i rarely use it all actually. and my knowledge in the field overall is something i need to work on, and of course I would like some help with this. I feel that i understand the usage of Jiraiyas hair jutsu and his personal toad related techniques well. Taijutsu would help me greatly.
one thing tho, if you reverse summon yourself and a target into the stomach of the fire breathing toad, how do you return to the battlefield O__O i always wondered that

fair enough.
well since it seems i got the handle of them toads XD i will try them in our fight
anyways my taijutsu training is B-rank with a sensei that is very slow >__> and the training has been well copy paste, perform done.
that said im not finished with it and its the only field i havent finished training in.
