@Toshi: Judging a battle based solely on speed when none of the fighters is a speedster? I don't think that's very wise.

The part referring to my earlier post was about Tsunade being slower than Asuma (speed), something that i agree with (its a manga fact regardeless) but is hardly a relevant factor in this match up.
That's why i disagreed with your answer.

Yea but that wasn't something I factored in, I said he should be able to tag Asuma...I was simply questioning the logic behind the statement. How did that statement make sense at all? That's like me saying, Shino has managed to touch Choji so he'll be more than able to touch Kakashi.

Now i understand your point better. That example isn't good at all though.

I mean, why not? With pills he managed to compete with someone slower, but with better taijutsu, evasion skills and who's overall above his own and also Asuma's level.
He's also considered to be equal with Kakashi, who is above Asuma in overall skill, speed and handled Hidan better than he did even though Shikamaru was giving support.
