Lee said he never beaten Neji, this was before he knew how to use the gates; he was planning on saving it for Neji but had to use it on Gaara. Neji isn't at the level he was when Lee first used the gates, he trained for a month to improve his skills for his matches in the finals and about 5-6 weeks passed while Naruto and Jiraiya were looking for Tsunade so Neji has over 2 months of training while Lee was unable to do anything serious because of his injuries. Part 1 Neji is Neji by the end of part 1, he was able to react to Naruto's fast movements in Initial chakra cloak mode before the 5-6 weeks of training. Even with the gates Lee isn't beating Neji who can literally just rotate Lee away from him and cause Lee to burn out from the gates.

Gaara is the strongest Genin in part 1 so yes he can beat any of the genins from part 1.

well I think you have a point right there..
but I just feel Neji can't react to the speed that gates grant Lee but well manga said Neji >> Lee so I'll go with that

Gaara's sand counters almost everything in Pt. 1 Neji's arsenal.

Kaiten doesn't counter Sand Coffin. All Gaara has to do is either wait for Neji to stop spinning, or run out of chakra to expel, whichever comes first. And once Sand Coffin has him, Neji would be immobilized, and unable to use Kaiten at all.

Ichigekishin, on the other hand, might work to counter Sand Burial. The first time. All Gaara has to do is create a Sand Coffin that's too large for Neji to burst out of, and that's it.

Easily would be on of the top matches in the exams , now i see this fight startin like this , neji takes his jyuken pose an activates his byakugan nd notices the sand carried in the gourd , gaara bein the impatient fellow he was would remark " Come on!"

Neji not takin the bait like rock lee would reply by sending two kunai flyin towards gaara's eye which subsequently gets stoped by the sand defense , neji then says "Sand! thats an unusual jutsu" while he notices the chakra flowin through the sand.

He then advances at garra while the latter sends sand waves which gets easily evaded due to neji's genius cqc prowes and speed , neji would then launch at gaara who would no doubt be in a confident poster with arms folded , fully confident in his ultimate defense.

Neji then closes the distance , covers his palm with jyuken chakra then attempts to hell stab gaara's face but before he could sand rushes to gaara and meets the attack before it could connect , only the attack pierces the sand much to gaara's shock who then activates his sand armor before the attack lands.

Gaara is then struck in the brain by jyuken , gaara achin in pain says "how did you!?" While neji replies with "things made of chakra or uses chakra as a component will be destroyed by simply puttin chakra into it , ur sand is useless before my gentle fist " before gaara passes out nd begins to awaken shukaku.

The match would end shortly after due to the jonin gettin involved.

Based on the way gaara fought lee in the chunin exams and iformation about gaara's gourd sand mechanics and neji's fightin style an jyuken mechanics it leads me to believe that this would play out with neji winnin low/mid diff im the chunin exam prelims , the fight could be very different in the finals with gaara preparing himself for the fight tho we still could not count neji out due to him also havin prep.

Gaara obviously negs. You need to be faster than Lee during those exams. It took Sasuke like a month and sharingan just to get that speed.

Neji swipes a bit of sand aside with rotation and sand coffin'd. Gaara vs Kimimaro easily flooded a forest with sand. Neji excels in hand to hand combat. He ain't getting close to Gaara.

Was Kimimaro introduced much later? Either way. It's still a shitstomp.

Gaara goes in his ball and has his eye above it looking at Neji. From then on Gaara kills him. Maybe toys with him a bit but definitely slaughters him? without a scratch on his body. It's just a terrible match up for Neji.

Much later and i disagree , based on gaara's fightin style at the time and the way he fought lee in the prelims then neji is the one who would neg.

Neji is more than fast and agile enough to avoid gaara's sand wave attacks , he would then close the distance and pierce gaara's sand with jyuken , somthing lee could not do and he would take the victory , read my above post for more detail.

Did you see Lee take off his weights vs Gaara?? Gaara lost track of him several times. He was almost teleporting around him it seemed. If Neji had that footspeed he would've just blitzed Naruto in seconds.

Dear God dat reply. Jyuuken is either palms or finger prods. Have you ever slapped sand? A palm isn't going to penetrate hardened sans with just an extra bit of chakra. Chidori is chakra PLUS the element sand is weak to PLUS the speed required to use it. Sasuke struggled and got his arm stuck in Gaara's orb. He was screwed if he couldn't put more lightening into his attack to melt away the sand and dig his way into Gaara's chest. Neji's strike is weaker in every aspect I mentioned. He can. In no way. Get passed the orb.

Gaara also still had Shukaku in him and if you think Neji is capable of weightless Lee's speed and has better penetration than Chidori...well then there's not much I can do for you tbh. Y'know chidori breaks rocks and stuff, right?

Neji bately reacted to kyuubi Naruto and it was because of getting constantly caught off guard until the last second, that he was forced to use rotation as a last resort. Naruto almost flew around him. "Neji had no reason to blitz" how about to win the fight? Gaara could do anything inside the orb. Neji can't do shit. Gaara probably makes more sand and sand burial or sand coffin leaves Neji as a bloody clump. There is no debating. Neji has a better chance of hitting Deidera. I'm not wasting any more time. Look at everyone elses opinions. You want Neji to win too bad and it's clouding your judgement. Making the impossible, possible.
