This follows the line of thought that there are internal and external materialization techniques, in the sense that internal techniques you spread your Chakra, turn it into elemental Chakra and then mold it into the object you wish to create, and all that happens within your body, like your gut, for when you spit a water stream for example.

When you try to manipulate a water source, you need to spread your water through the source and then mold it to form the object you want. That is external manipulation.

This technique prevents external manipulation of the ground and the water

Description: The user focuses a massive amount of Panthalassic Water chakra within their body, overloading his own chakra system, before unleashing a great wave of Panthalassic Water, though it appears immediately as a wave of radioactivity, a deep and glowing bluish purple. The wave is composed of tiny droplets of panthalassic water in the shape of bug-sized ancient plankton, that carry on the weight of the wave, while dragging along the heavy radioactivity. It expands 100 meters around the user before stopping, pushing back even the greatest, biggest and strongest of summons, a technique fit to blow back the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path itself, leaving behind a gargantuan crater of charred and wet barren land with deep infusion of Panthalassic Water in the air, water and soil of the terrain, lingering behind with Mild-level Radioactivity for 4 turns, and preventing Water from behind manipulated by foreign chakra within the crater, either underground, water sources or the molecules in the air.

The great density and concentration of Panthalassic Water prior to unleashing of the wave filters into the cells of the user, and small, fish-egg like growths, benign tumors that only vanish a few weeks afterwards, and send the user's chakra system into disarray. The wave overloads subsequent Ninjutsu techniques or elements that utilize Water Chakra, making them all cost 15 more chakra that usual, translating in proportional damage increase, and taint the organism with so much Panthalassic Water Radioactivity that permits them no other elemental chakra to be produced, effectively severing the remaining elements for the duration of the side-effects, which usually end around the time the fish-eggs disappear.

Weaker versions of this technique can be used. Each time the user brings a rank down, the radius is halved (50, 25, etc). They are simple PW full body bursts, only the forbidden rank has all the effects and restrictions, all the lower ranks are merely bursts of radioactivity that impact hard and create a crater, but have no lingering effects. The S rank can be used 2 times, the A rank 4 times.

Note: The user takes 20 damage while being rid of every elemental chakra besides Water and Elements that require Water. Advanced Elements that utilize Water Chakra + Other Elemental Chakra can still be used but will be 20 damage points weaker than normally, while still requiring more chakra as described before, sans the proportional damage increase.

Note: The strain on the user prevents the usage of Panthalassic Water for 2 turns, the same and the next, and can't user Water in the same turn. This restrictions are the only ones that also apply to the weaker versions of Cataclysm.

Note: Can only be used once per Event, and will last the whole event.


Whew lad. Ok. It's as big of a body burst as it gets. There's not much to it to be honest. It's fairly straight forward. I especially love this tidbit "preventing Water from behind manipulated by foreign chakra within the crater, either underground, water sources or the molecules in the air." That's just amazing. Love it.

Unfortunately, with great things come great drawbacks but to be fair, having just water and water based elements isn't such a drawback for us. The only issue is the -20 but at the end of the day, it just means one less +20 since they'll be boosted anyway. Does the wave also achieve the same effect of the opponent as well? Locking him in -20 and water only?

All correct except the last paragraph: if you use water, it gets 15 Chakra more expensive, with a +30 damage boost. So all your water techs are stronger. Panthalassic Water, being sole water composed, also gets the boost. Water composed elements, like Wood, Ice, Storm, etc don't get the boost, and get a drawback of 20 damage less, while still being more Chakra costly. But at least can still be used

I missed that part. That's awesome. So only the F rank gets the drawback but all other ranks get the damage boost?

Weaker versions of this technique can be used. Each time the user brings a rank down, the radius is halved (50, 25, etc). They are simple PW full body bursts, only the forbidden rank has all the effects and restrictions, all the lower ranks are merely bursts of radioactivity that impact hard and create a crater, but have no lingering effects. The S rank can be used 2 times, the A rank 4 times.

This means that you can use a lower ranked full-body burst of PW, dealing the corresponding version. You can use S rank 2 times, spending 40 chakra and dealing 80 up to 50 meters, you can use A rank 4 times, spending 30 chakra and dealing 60 damage up to 25 meters, and use B rank any number of times, spending 20 chakra and dealing 40 damage up to 12,5 meters, C rank spending 15 chakra and dealing 30 damage 6,25 meters and D rank, 10 chakra 20 damage 3,125 meters, and finally E rank, 5 chakra, 10 damage, around 1,50 meters. They don't have the same boons or restrictions as the Full Forbidden rank Cataclysm, they are just full-body bursts of PW.

Forbidden rank Cataclysm is the one that overloads your chakra and seals any other element other than Water. Grants the boost of +15 chakra and +30 damage to non-elemental Ninjutsu and Water.

Pretty sure you've learnt all there is to learn about PW xD

What do you think about the element now?
It's amazing and incredibly versatile in its abilities. As I've said I've got an idea that I need to type up. I'll let you know on disc once I'm done.

I see how it works perfectly well with the piercings tool you've made. It's a must have combo. 😉

You've definitely transcended from what water used to be and Izuna would definitely have a hard time, lol.
