I'm going with Minato on this one because, even though we've seen little, we've seen enough of his abilities to see what types of techniques he can use to defend himself against Nagato's abilities. Now I'm not sure if he's fighting the individual paths or Nagato as a whole so I'm going to make this one about the individual paths and then link them to a whole.
Minato vs. Animal path: Minato can use his contract seal to release Nagato's control over the animals. As for what they'll do afterwards, as the jutsu doesn't actually get rid of the summoning idk. The animals are linked to Nagato's eyes as well however duing Minato's fight with Madara, the Kyuubi projected the sharingan, and when Minato released his control over it the control faded. Now the animals will be while so that'll be a problem for both of them, more or less for Nagato so I don't think the animal path will work for Nagato.
Minato vs. Human path: The human path's abilities require physical contact, which with Minato's speed will be virtually impossible for them. The paths are fast as we've seen but they can't be compared to Minato's speed.
Minato vs. Asura path: Projectiles, missiles, basically android powers that use projectile based weapons. Again no match for Minato's speed
Minato vs. Naraka path: again, physical contact needed for him to use that outer path and quite frankly the path has no real combat purpose beside reviving fallen paths
Minato vs. Pretta path: So far we've only seen one technique of Minato's that is an offensive jutsu, which is the Rasengan. The pretta path's abilities, like all the other paths abilities isn't constent and he doesn't automatically suck up chakra upon contact. The ability itself has to be conciously activated. Minato's speed can get him close enough to the path to take it out before Nagato can comprehend that Minato is even there, nullifying it's affect.
Minato vs. Deva path: Almighty Push and pull, Chibaku tensai. This is perhaps the strongest of the six paths. First off with the almighty push, it deflects attacks and whatever a person throws creating a gravitational barrier, however it requires five seconds minimum before it can be activated again. Since Minato's jutsu is an instant and the seal from his kunai can travel onto other surfaces (and he can plant the seal himself on other surfaces) if Minato ever managed to get close to the Deva path before hand he can easily get to the path the five seconds were up (maybe even before the interval starts). Same thing with the Pull. The pull is more offensive if you think about it and even while being attracted, Minato can still transport his body to another location, outside of the direction of the pull (the almighty pull seems to be directed in one direction unlike the push although I could be wrong. If so correct me). As for Chibaku tensai I'm unsure about that ability (in terms of Minato's defense) but I am sure on the physical strain it takes on Nagato regardless. I'm also unsure if his S-T barrier can defend against that. I'm not sure how it could be used in this situation so I don't know.
Basically this argument is based off of Minato's speed being his primary defense (his FTG). I know people say speed isn't everything but when an ability is mastered to perhaps it's highest extent, no matter what it is it is a powerful attribute. As seen in this series speed seems to be one of the highest emphisized abilities (Sasuke in his first appearance in Shippuden with lightning reflexes, Itachi amazing speed, Sage mode enhanced speed for Naruto and Jiraiya. Raikage's lightning armour, Naruto currently, Madara, Minato, etc...). from the layout of everything that is seen, those with the highest amount of speed are at the highest level of shinobi skill and seen as the most powerful. I'm not saying that's all you need just that it's been shown throughout the series and has been emphisized so heavily. Minato's abilities with his Space Time ninjutsu are at a highest level as well. He was fast enough to injure Madara who had (as we once thought) the highest level of S-T ninjutsu. He was faster then A, during the war he was given the title Konoha's Yellow Flash because that's all you saw of him, his yellow hair in an instat before you died, and he was praised so hevily, and feared so much in the third war that Iwa soldiers were given flee on command orders if they ever saw him (which really wouldn't do you much good). Not to mention Minato's mastery of the Uzumaki clan's sealing jutsu (being of the highest calibur for fuinjutsu) to the point it was as if he, himself were an Uzumaki clan genius (you could only imagine Kushina's level in this field). Minato is inteligent, masterful in combat and from the little we've seen we've seen him as one of the strongest shinobi ever introduce in the series. From the little we've seen at that. Anyway he has more abilities, as we've not yet seen him utilize all of them in the brief times we have seen him in combat so we can't say for sure what we saw was everything but from what we have seen, it appears as if he had enough even at that time to take down Nagato. I would put him on the same plane of power as Madara and I believe Madara is superior to Nagato (even without Madara having the Rinningan). Anyway this is my oppinion.
