He knows this, he's questioning on what basis is the core actually composed of chakra.

Manipulation isn't equivalent to being predisposed with chakra as is the case with Gaara's Desert Sand.

Jutsu creation -- The orb is similar to magnetic chakra in attributes; Nagato blatantly represented the orb was made of clear chakra from execution, to resolution.

Seems unlikely given these rocks have yet to crush anyone the technique was used on and was countered quite easily by the group in the war arc, in Nagato's ultimate version compared to his weaker spop form.

If they all gang up on him I think they could take this, CT is a huge issue , but with nearly enough people to keep each pain occupied they have a chance to stop him from using it altogether. They have 2 long rangers, a tank, an immortal to bait him, and kisame. Team 2 doesn't look too shabby tbh

Pain wins with mid-high difficulty at the most.

Kisame and Kakuzu's Ninjutsu are absorbed easily by Preta Path. If they try attacking together from different angles to prevent absorption then Animal Path can use Cerberus to tank it and really the vast majority of their jutsu. Only thing that will outright kill the Cerberus and hit Pain would be C0 and C4 due to the nature of the jutsu. Iron Sand would also poison it. Luckily Iron Sand can be evaded or repelled by Shinra Tensei. C4 can be blown away too, not to mention it'd kill his teammates if he used it. Same goes for C0.

Hidan is a close quarters fighter, and 3 Pains with shared vision are enough to demolish even someone like Jiraiya in close quarters let alone all 6 where Asura is also present. Foregoing Ninjutsu to try and kill Preta to make Kisame and Kakuzu's techniques useful again won't work as Pain would destroy these 5 in a straight brawl.

From mid-long range Pain shits still. Cerberus tanks all attacks. Shinra Tensei repels the ones that can't be tanked. The chameleon hides Pain thus allowing him to surprise attack as they have no method of sensing it's whereabouts. Shinra Tensei works at all ranges. Asu

So Pain picks them off one at a time w/ Bansho Tennin and Chakra Rods or w/ a Shinra Tensei strong enough to put down 3 boss toads. If he feels like he needs to CST one shots all of them.
