How do you think Pain killed Jiraiyah?
Only reason those 3 were caught was because they HEARD the song.
Plus Pain has Rinnegan, hes mastered genjutsu, and his bodies have genjutsu barriers.

How so?? Ama will take out all the paths bar preta and maybe deva pein (we already saw how itachi negg diffed the summons with ama, he just does that to all the paths), and totsuka seals the other two
He cant do that in a straight up fight itschi just got him by suprise, all NAGATOS(kabutos) focus was on Naruto/Bee, plus Nagato was sluggish and immobile.
On top of that he has many more summons to use. So like I said. FALSE

Dude, I was'nt talking bout when itachi sealed nagato, itachi lit half the uchiha hide out with ama, he lits the whole damn summons and paths on amaterasu, ama left, ama right, ama errwhere, then totsuka preta path

really late on this but the corspes are like tools and Nagato controls them so techinically Nagato solos through Pain. It's like how Sasori would solo someone when he uses his puppets.

I accepted this fact like 4yrs ago.
The truth is that Pain and Nagato are about as strong as each other. The only reason why Naruto said that Edo Nagato was stronger than Pain was only because Edo Nagato was a reincarnated being with all of the path in one man. So it was like all of the Pain powers/abilities from different bodies all compressed into one body. So he was stronger in terms of having the potential of Godlike ability in one body. But many people forget that Edo Nagato was also nerfed in different ways. (1)He never had full control over his body since he was being partially controlled by Kabuto, (2)He was immobile so his movement was limited and (3)Kabuto seemingly lost control over him after CT and since Nagato wanted to get defeated, he never resisted to Itachi's totsuka solo. :yeah:
It's important to remember though that Pain however has different fighting style to Edo Nagato since it Pain involves a numbers game and there's a lot of movement because Nagato has control over other bodies rather than his own weak, partially immobile body. This is what many people should understand in this debate. But nevertheless, there would be ignorants who would always be in denial. U_U

Tachi & Nagato are the same level. Everyone who isn't a fanboy knows this.
Pain actually should be revered as a 'solo' artist more often though- soloing 2 Sannin level Toads, Jiraiya, one SM Naruto, Hinata and half of Konoha.

I don't feel like copying everyone else's posts on how Itachi would win....rather I'd attack your topic.
So, for the sake of argument how does your "true soloist" beat the real soloist that is Hashi
Unless I have been away from this board for so long that everyone in the Naruto Community has assumed Itachi is the best "soloist"? Itachi is up there and would beat Nagato/6 Paths based on his tactician/intelligence (he would quickly figure out which Path to go after based on the way Nagato constantly protects Deva Path or whichever one is Yahiko [I'm drawing a blank] and would quickly disassemble the remaining Path's from there (if the fight even made it that far before Itachi realized someone was controlling these ugly mofos')
