Notice how according to the timeframe, Orochimaru isn't even closet to his strongest form, yet Pain used Shinra-Tensei to destroy a whole forest, yet Orochimaru was only blown back a couple meters at best. Like I said, it wasn't rape.

Edo-Tensei solves that, also, you don't need to play the game. Orochimaru left the village some times ago, which I believe was ten years ago, ventured off into the Akatsuki, joined, then left.
