He was bad ass through out. People complain about tnj but it makes sense given they were sibling students and pain wasn't actually a bad guy just misguided by obito.

Pain vs naruto still remains as one of the most bad ass fights of the entire series.

LMAO!! Ya some of the animation was really weird in that fight. And I don't get how Pain died from a Rasengan but didn't die from getting nailed into the ground and smashed head first into the cliffside at high speed

OT: Would have loved to see Pain as the final villain. But power scaling does not allow for such foolery.
