The new series will resolve around Bolt so you won't see too much of Salad. Then again we were led to believe that NARUTO was about Naruto's journey, when it was actually about Sasuke. Kishimoto created Salad to show that the newer generation will be behind in terms of power and they will stay that way. If Salad were not to have glasses then I would've assumed that a new powerful villain would be in the story. Since she does, we can't expect much when it comes to the villains.
