Bolt doesn't even acknowledge Salad's existence. I doubt they are going to be rivals, more like close friends at least. Considering who their parents are, I doubt it in the least if Salad becomes pairing fodder for Boruto. Seems highly possibly from Kishimoto's work.

Bolt will probably find someone on his level and when I mean on his level, I mean a male who he sees as someone better than him, or whom the male counterpart sees Boruto as someone to be admired. It all depends on how it happens, but I doubt a rivalry is what Kishimoto is going after.

It seems like he wants to pursue the connection of Boruto/Salad as a friendship which connect them by Naruto/Sasuke. Or at least that's what I am assuming.

It may not be that Bolt doesn't acknowledge Sarada's existence. He just didn't talk to her in chapter 700. That doesn't mean that he doesn't know of her existence. Naruto didn't always talk to Sasuke in the academy and he didn't talk to Sasuke in chapter 1, yet we know how their relationship turned out. Naruto didn't talk to Hinata at all in chapter 1 or for most of the series for that matter, yet in the end he married her. Heck, I don't talk to everyone at my school but I still know the names of some of the people I don't talk to. The same could be true for Bolt and Sarada (by the way I emphasized chapter 1 because you are claiming that Bolt and Sarada can't be rivals because of the fact that Bolt didn't acknowledge her in the first and only chapter they appeared in. Meanwhile Naruto didn't acknowledge Sasuke in the first chapter they all appeared in). Naruto mainly spent time either alone or with the other dead lasts (Shikamaru, Choji and Kiba).

It doesn't necessarily have to be a male for the rival to be stronger than Bolt. Kaguya wrecked Sasuke so many times after all and she is female.

You misunderstood my post. I am not saying that He interacted with the dead lasts in chapter 1. No, chapter 1 was when Mizuki tricked Naruto and Naruto learned Shadow Clone jutsu, etc...

I am saying that Naruto didn't talk to Sasuke in chapter 1. The scans you posted were in chapter 3 or so. You based your assumption that Sarada won't rival Bolt because Bolt didn't talk to her in the first chapter they appeared in. I am saying that the logic behind this assumption is flawed because Naruto did not talk to Sasuke in the first chapter they appeared in, yet Naruto and Sasuke turned out to be huge rivals.

The part about the dead lasts in my post was just saying that Naruto spent more time with the dead lasts than Sasuke in general during his childhood (I am not saying that he interacted with them in the first few chapters)
