Orochimaru could take on Kurama, he even could've held his own against Obito [slim chances] but that incident was Obito + Kurama and I son't think Orochimaru who lacks S/T could've done what Minato did.

However if you change the opponent then perhaps Orochimaru can do even better! It all depends on match-ups

orochimaru could never use senju dna back then or even now until he took zetsus body as he never finished his experiments and he didnt get the dna from yamato as i believe orochimaru thought none of the experiments survived

Orochimaru injected Yamato as a baby with Senju DNA so he had it at least as far back as however old Yamato is. It has never been said at what point in his life he obtained or experimented with Senju DNA other than his experiment on Yamato.

Minato saved village from getting whooped and sealed Kurama but he had to trade his life. Oro fighting raw Kurama while trying to save the village? Naw. Beating Obito aswell? Naw.
