Why do people keep saying orochimaru got sealed by itachi? He never got sealed as seen here

He escaped, So please refrain from saying he is sealed. Also sealing someone is usually the alternative when you can't defeat them. . .

P.S I like orochimaru but im far from a fanboy.

Orochimaru himself was not sealed. The piece of Orochimaru in sasuke was sealed so Orochimaru could not be spawned out of Sasuke. That's why he was still able to come out of the seals of his victims. Also why the seals never vanished.
