He didn't get sealed. When the totsuka sword pierced him, he was able to transform into a littlle snake and escape. Even though that snake got hit by amaterasu accidently, but Oro wouldn't die that easily.

Probably because the cursed seals have his chakra and he can come back through that? Also imo ankos cursed seal is abit different.

I agree. Remember when Itachi and Sasuke fought. Itachi lured Oro out of the curse seal mark on Sasuke's neck ,knowing he was still around ,although Sasuke thought he killed him.
