oro seems to be nearly unkillable, but he lacks offensive power and pain seems to have a very strong defensive, a good offense and huge amounts of chakra.

orochimaru never fought jryaya in sage mode & ororhcimaru would never let jiryaya get into sage mode also
ororchiamru is weak against mostly s rank & a rank genjutsu

like we barely saw him fight well during the 3rd hokage arc

he was about to do a jutsu but the 3rd got his arms

in a breif fight with sasku orochimaru seems to use wind manuplation

i just fort of something orocimaro is not dead hes stll much alive but apart of kabuto and will return cause kabuto wont be able to reject orochimarus cells for that long he doesnt have the will power and hed probably let him take over his body.

I'd have to say Pein, cos I mean in the current Anime status or the Manga back when Orochimaru was after Sasuke, i dunno but he just seemed rele weak in comparison, almost a shadow on his former self. When he first appeared at the beginning, with the whole intent to kill and stuff he was terrifying, half way through shipuuden he sorta lost his edge...
