Just because he has five elements doesn't mean he can win. Nor does the fact that he can switch from long and close range.

The staff of Enma is as hard as diamond and the Sword of Kusanagi was still able to hurt him. Kakuzu's iron skin doesn't stand a sliver of a chance against a sword like this. Kakashi's Chidori destroyed his Iron Skin. I'm sure the Sword of Kusanagi is far more devastating...

Kakuzu is far from unbeatable... which is why he got beat.

What does fighting the 1st Hokage prove? It proves Kakuzu lost. That has nothing to do with his chances against Orochimaru. He'd still lose.
