Itachi's Genjutsu Owned Orochimaru. Sasuke only beat the pair of them because they were on thier death beds. Hell, Itachi wanted sasuke to win so he could get stronger.

I will say orochimaru was the most talented of the 3 legendary sannin. The 3rd would have made him hokage if he wasnt all crazy and stuff

first of all oro is not as strong as jiraiya and itachi would win easily and about the issue of the third hokage :the hokage is stronger but oro summoned the first and second kages
this is overwhelming for any ninja in naruto remember the first kicked uchiha madaras ass

i disagree jiraiya is the strongest sannin orochimaru is just smarter i doubt if oro would stand a chance against 3 paths of pain and remember jiraiya has sage mode

Itachi would easily defeat orochimaru, Sasuke defeated Orochimaru and itachi could have defeated Sasuke easily but he was rotten with disease and could not kill his younger brother. So it's kinda like Itachi > Sasuke > Orochimaru. Itachi is one of the strongest people in Naruto, and yet we haven't seen his full power.

the reason why sasuke defeated oro was because he poisoned him and if he hadn't poisoned him and sauske tried to attach him i am sure he would have killed sasuke dude!!!!1

Ok m8, I will admit that both are powerfull but let me state these facts for both of them and let others denote who they think would win.

Itachi-
Itachi possesses the Ms which has been known to even control the Nine Tails in the past.
Orochimaru and Sasuke both admit that Itachi could beat both of them together when Sakura, Naruto, Sai, and yamato all find their hideout a short time after Naruto returns to the village.
It is also true that Orochimaru has been beaten by Itachi 2 times and has even admitted fearing his Sharingan(hence the reason he wants it so badly)...
At the point in time where Sasuke kills and "consumes" Orochimaru Itachi still has better abilities, sharingan, etc... than Sasuke with the exception that itachi is going blind and is already slowly dying. So if Sasuke was able to best orochimaru at that time then Itachi would too.
Also keep in mind that Orochimaru and Sasuke both acknowledged that Orochimaru went after Sasuke for his body and his Sharingan because he could not take it from Itachi.
There are also many more points that can be used in Itachi's favor but now for orochimaru's side.

Orochimaru-
Contains one of a few "immortality" justus.
He is one of the Legendary Sannin.
Contains curse mark abilities.
Controls the power of the White Snake, who's recovery abilities are incredible.
Has withstood attacks from the 4 tails form of the Nine Tails used by naruto.
Has defeated the 3rd Hokage.
Has Hydra White Snake Form Jutsu as well.
Has numerous numbers of other forbidden jutsus.
Has been known to survive seriously mortal situations that a normal shinobi would have easily perished from.
And a few more things for the side of Orochimaru...

Now I know who I think would win and I also have a pretty good feeling, based on what Kishimoto has revealed to us already, on who would actually win...

1st time was back when oro tried to backstab itachi for his sharingan.
2nd time when he was using hydra mode(he sealed him)

The funny thing is that everytime Itachi raped Oro he did it within a second...

P,S Oro said that Itachi is stronger...

and Oro summoning the 1st and 2nd is pretty good feat for oro

orochimaru is as only good as the early arcs...when everyone was still weak...

4tail naruto > oro - even with edo tensei it would just be blown up by chakra blasts...
(even with the sword of kusanagi oro can't pierce or hurt the four tails, as for him he got whooped a couple of times forcing him to use much of the substitution jutsu)

naruto in sage mode will pawn oro even oro is in full power...specially when in his new kyuubi mode...

@oro if oro pukes another version of him that means his hurt and that is the techinque that you call substitution jutsu...oro played with 4 tails? oro tested fighting the kyuubi but almost all his techniques were blown away as well that's why he retreated because there is nothing that he can do to hurt 4tails...he was running out of chakra as well...

1. oro used his strongest defense (three rashumons)? what happened?
2. oro used his strongest sword to pierce and what happened?
3. oro used hundreds of snakes to try and pierce 4tails and what happened?
4. new kyubi mode is not stronger? well how did you know? even naruto at sage mode would rape oro...

orochimaru can't even be successful with his destroy konoha mission...

one thing that i would agree with you on...oro will not be beaten fast but he will still die, he's power level is just a little bit higher than the third hokage (even with edo tensei) and that's there to it...all that oro have is substitution jutsu that keeps him alive...technique and power wise - it's just a little bit stronger than the third...

Its true that he said that but the fact remains the same and thats he couldnt beat it and we dont know what would've happened if he continued to fight it.

He wasnt poisoned... He got weak after the battle against Naruto in fox cloak mode.

Itachi allready defeated Orochimaru twice , how many times he need to do it so u fanboys can understand ?
