Orochimaru he was able to handle a 4 Tailed Naruto and he was sick i would say 4 tails naruto atleast equals 6 gates guy, in order for guy to beat Orochimaru he would have to use up to the 8th gate.

Kisame survived afternoon tiger i dont see any reason why Oro couldnt.

In fact we've never seen a completely healthy Oro and he's always so smart and strong. Full health and power I dont see Gai making it out.

guy has everything cept a technique powerful enough to beat orochimaru, if we go by Part1 of the series we remember kakashi being terrified of orochimaru during chunning exam (pre-spacial-sniping-jutsu) so we can speculate that gui would also not stand a chance. also remember orochimaru has IWR, its not like he would quit after getting the 2 hokages sealed.

Fighting at full power (8th gate) kills gai. I'm sure gai would be stronger than I could imagine With 8 gates but I don't think he would kill himself just to win a theoretical fight. Also the post said only 7th gate

The point is your trying to view who will win this fight based on what both characters did against tailed beast which is bull.

I cannot see orochimaru beating Gai in 7 gates. He wouldn't be able to keep up.

& he doesnt die from being ripped appart as proven by that fight, so its not like guy can throw a kamehameha and incinerate orochimaru.

oro for the clear win...if kakashi and guy are equal...and oro>kakashi...then i'd say oro>guy.
gai could hit as hard as tsunade...and oro tanked those punches like a bawse...taijutsu is useless against oro...he has such durability...maybe...(yes i'll say it)...cuz he's a senju ;P
