Orochimaru still alive?

Orochimaru is alive in two fronts, body and soul. His body/part of his being is being resserected inside Kabuto. Kabuto stated Oro is already trying to take over his body.

The second Oro being alive is his soul/mind which is trapped in Sussanoo's genjutsu forever/whenever he is let go. Oro took over Sasuke's body, but was repelled at the last moment. It's the same as if Oro took over a previous body of his and the body's owner kept control, Sasuke pushed Oro's mind/soul back as Oro did to his previous bodies.

I would LOVE to see due to this split in his being physical form/soul/mind that he turned back to how he was in the old days, a good person....would'nt it be something if it happend and he helped save Konoha Anyways eventoully the two parts will want to come whole again and Kabutomaru will search for Sasuke, who holds the key to Sussannoo

the sword of totsuka only sealed orochimaru, it does not kill, and we all know even the strongest of seals can be broken and keys can be fashioned.

I doubt very much its the end of orochimaru.

Orochimaru was the first true villain in the naruto universe (zabuza was introductory fighting)

I believe it is a fitting end to have orochimaru be the last true villain as well-wraps it up nicely.

Yea, it would be a fitting end to the story of Naruto, putting an end to what his master originally started.

And we haven't saw the true power of Orochimaru, he only fought seriously with the Sandaime, and he "only" got some rotten arms. He's quite powerful and skilled, so i do think he's the last villain of the story. Grown up Naruto vs Orochimaru. Can you imagine that?

he did not treally fight seriously the 3rd surpirsed him he had a plan 2 use the 3 hokages

he did not plan onn the 4th nont showeing up all because of the 3rd neutlising technique
and he did not count on the 3rd using the 4th's jutsu to defeat the 2nd and the 1st
i rember he was about 2 do an ultimate jutsu but before he could the 3rd stopped him
watch that anime episode trust me

and i don't think he really is not gunna use kabuot because kabuto is the most mysterious and unkown chareter in the whole story

He served his purpose , to help set sasuke on his path.Plus kishi's got 2 master villains, maadara and Pain to work with, who by the way are way more powerful than oro. I think the final villain will be sasuke, remember the 2 main chracters in the story are sasuke and naruto, it would be fitting that the final battle be between them.</div>

From what I remember in the manga, only 2 coffins come up, the 3rd never appearedm Oro simply stated something like "The 4th did'nt appear? Oh well" and that was all that was said about it....Sarutobi said he had to stop the other from coming up, but in the manga he never actually did anything to stop it, it just did'nt come up....he used no jutsu or did anything, it never come up...and they left it at that.

Makes me kinda think....

Minato, alive? Obviously, if he is, his coffin would'nt appear, or if his wordly body is elsewhere (say sealed ala Oro in Sussannoo)

Makes ya think don't it? Would'nt it be something if "that jutsu" was a seal release and Minato appears and defeats Pain....heh...wishful thinking but that would be f'n sweet.

I've heard this a thousand times, it didn't show up in the manga because the jutsu simply failed, but it was easier to illustrate in the anime just to show the third using some jutsu to stop. No, he's gone, he sacrificed himself.

Jutsu used by a shinobi of Orochimaru's caliber simply don't just fail. Thus the shock he even seemed to show. Nobody knows what happend that night as it has not delved into it yet. For someone that created the Death God tech, (which would have ment he used it before in creating it) , the creator would know it's weakness and way out's as well. In my opinion naruto's mother is the one who gave up her soul....in sealing it to Naruto (funny how she vanished that night as well) and I think Minato did something far diffrent than we know....it's Kishi's style.

Like I said in the post, probable no. Possible there is something we don't know that can change everything we thought happend that night of the 9 tail attack, yes.
