That is why you should pay more attention to what you read just because he is immortal means nothing the fact is in the manga it was said which are kishi's words that the kages are not at 100% of they power when they were alive. Thus making alive minato> edo minato

Minato was chosen as the Hokage even b4 that,In otherwords Orochimaru was in Konoha when Minato is the Hokage means that Hiruzen found about Orochimaru either after Minato's death or when Minato was the Hokage.
