Orochimaru CAN beat Itachi

Well, Itachi can take out Oro as soon as the fight begins (as discussed in this thread) before he has time to Edo anything, and then Jiraiya and Tsunade can't do much of anything, so Itachi wins. Their only threat is Oro Edo'ing the Hokage, after that what's left for them to hurt him with? And even with that, Itachi has ways to handle the edo's before they get a chance to do anything (or Oro in a way that lets him get the edos), Shi Sui's eye, Genjutsu, Totsuka, etc

i agree that Orochimaru with prep time/sacrafices at hand would beat Itachi.

but if they unexpectedly came across each other, itachi would win most of the time.

If Oro gets prep, why doesn't Itachi? And if that's the case, why doesn't Itachi just have Shi Sui's eye prepped to rape Oro (not that it takes more than a moment to "prep" the eye). Itachi just has the crow look at Oro and hey presto, Itachi now controls Oro, and by extension all 4 Hokage. Or Itachi could sneak up on Oro and attack him unawares, or have elaborate contingencies planned... why are these "Oro wins" scenarios always ones where Oro gets heaps of Prep, and Itachi just stands there.

I think it's telling that after Oro got owned the first time by Itachi, he never said "that kid got lucky, next time I'll prep heaps and have all my Edo's ready, and then I'll totally get his eyes". No, instead he says Itachi is "an impossible dream" who is "even stronger than I am", and Sasuke (under Oro's training) refers to himself or Oro beating Itachi as "impossible right now".

Orochimaru has what it takes to kill Itachi. Most of you might say "Itachi one-shoted Orochimaru 8 years ago" but that was a much weaker Orochimaru who was careless and underestimated Itachi. Another one is that "Itachi one-shoted Oro with Totsuka blade." Once again, Oro was careless and had no knowledge of totska. Orochimaru create a sea of 10,000 snakes that can swarm Itachi and has other advantages:

-the snake share the same chakra signature as Oro. Oro can easily hide in his sea of snakes keeping Itachi from seeing/finding him. Itachi would need alot of amaterasu and susanoo to get rid of them all.

Orochimaru wont fall for Itachi's genjutsu. Oro knows all to well not to look into Itachi eyes and is EXTREMELY resilient to genjutsu and most other forms of attack. Orochimaru now has knowledge of the totska blade and wont get pierced. If he gets cut in half he'll just regenerate. Amaterasu wont work either since Oro would just shed his skin. Rashomon would protect Oro from susanoo attacks in general atleast temporarly.

Due to Itachi's relative inability to effectively harm let alone kill Orochimaru gives Oro a serious advantage. If Oro uses his versitle technigues correctly, he could defeat Itachi but it still wont be easy.

Edit: Itachi>Orochimaru but what im saying is that Oro has the POTIENTIAL to beat Itachi and how he could be able to do it.

@Bold:
1.) Your basis that Orochimaru won't fall for the genjutsu again simply because he was in the genjutsu before is flawed. He could still get caught.
2.)Itachi still has his finger genjutsu.
3.)You're saying he's "EXTREMELY resilient to genjutsu" yet, the only argument i've ever heard for that is that Oro has like a 5 in genjutsu or something? This isn't just any genjutsu and the 5 doesn't mean it's impossible for genjutsu to work on him or that he just can bring himself out of it instantly.
4.)Your statement that because he found out about the Totsuka blade that he won't get hit by it... By that logic, I have knowledge of sasuke's susanno's arrows.. So they wouldn't work on me? I wouldn't get hit? How about some evidence or even a theory as to why because he knows that there's a flaming sword that could seal him means he won't get hit.
