Alright well, snakes are of course legless reptiles and have been shown to have been used by Orochimaru, Anko and Sasuke. Most of the time they used snakes in the manner of stealth, such as hiding snakes up their sleeves or using them to defend against an opposing technique.

I know that mostly throughout the series they've been using hidden snake hands alot to catch people of guard and bind them with the restricting power of the snakes.

Orochimaru quickly bites his thumb imagining a large snake in his mind while he wipes his blood across his tattoo in a straight line and performs the necessary handseals channeling a large amount of chakra into the tattoo, summoning a large snake underneath himself.
