Hola. Usually, when doing orientation we'd go over the basics of creating a biography, specialties, and things like that. However, you already have the bio creating skills down so we'll skip that portion for now. As I mentioned over the discord VC, it's better to place your biography in your signature for easy access.

To begin with we'll go in-depth into four main categories listed below. Let me know if you have any questions before we begin.

Biographies.
  • Rank breakdown
  • Canon vs Custom Bios
  • Specialties
  • Biography Combinations (HA/AE/KG/Mode)
  • Training
Battling
  • Battle Types: Official/Unofficial
  • Health Rules and Chakra Accounting.
  • Timeframe Rules and Issues
  • Quoting and Conflict Resolution
  • Speed chart, Tracking, and Damage Stacking.
The Ninja World
  • WSE Biographies
  • Travel
  • Roleplaying Missions, Ranks, and Criteria
  • Ryo
  • Forming and Building a Clan
  • Story Arcs and Intervals
Custom
  • Customs Threads
  • Recording Kumi/Ryo
  • Types of Custom Jutsu (CJ, CFS, CE/CEJ, CC/CCJ, CW, CT)
  • Customs Templates
  • Submission Rules and Limitations
  • Buying and Selling Customs

Well, I don't see why not. Be sure to ask me about anything you don't understand.

Battling:

Before any battle begins there are a number of things to get out of the way first that set the stage.
  • Battle Type: Offical or Unofficial (I'll touch on this more below this list)
  • Terrain: You and your opponent(s) must decide on a terrain which you will battle on and the weather. (Though both the terrain and weather can change through the use of a jutsu).
  • Range: This is how far apart from each other you begin. Short (0 to 5 meters), med-range(5 to 15 meters), or long-range (15+ meters).
  • Bio: Post a link to the biography you'll be using for the battle
  • Time Limit: How long each person has to respond after a technique has been posted
Here's an example of what the first post in a battle thread should look like:

Official Battle
Three day reply limit
Mid Range (10 Meters)
Terrain: Witchwood Arena
Kōtetsu Inuzuka
Below this, you can post any passive techniques you have on your biography (if you don't know what that is I'll let your know later) and even RP a bit to make the fight more authentic. After this post is made, your opponent would respond with their biography link and RP a bit if they choose.

Battle Types - Official/Unofficial

All battles held in the Battle Arena or Ninja World count as official fights. This means that if you lose, your bio can be used as a Human Puppet by a Sasori bio, having your heart ripped out by a Kakuzu bio, be used for Edo Tensei, etc. Only when it was clearly agreed at the start it was just an unofficial spar, it doesn't count as an official battle.

Any fight in the Ninja World can only be official. Unofficial Battles are strictly for the battle arena and are fights that allow you more leeway to make mistakes. In these kinds of battles, you can test out risky moves and try to get a feel for an ability you just learned.

Element & Jutsu Usage

Regardless of the battle type, you can choose which and how many elements you want to use in a battle (from the ones you learned), but also whether custom jutsu's/elements are allowed or not. If no restrictions are given, then it's automatically declared "All Out", meaning that both you and your opponent can use everything you know. Some restrictions that can be placed are:

- Taijutsu Only
- Canon Only
- Jutsu Rank Restrictions (B ranks and below only, etc)

Naturally, these restrictions can't be set in during battle in the Ninja World, as any fight that takes place there is "All Out" by default. Also, if you don't state that a battle is unofficial or official, then it becomes official by default, so you have to clearly state that a battle is unofficial either in the title or your first post before the battle actually begins.

Last note for these rules is the time-limit. You can decide how long both you and your opponent have to reply to each other's moves. The default time-limit for official battles is 3 days. For it to be longer or shorter than this, then you and your opponent must agree on it. In the case that a time limit isn't mentioned by either of you, then it becomes 3 days by default.

When the time limit is passed, this means that whoever failed to post is hit by an incoming technique. For example. If you and I were fighting and I fired a fireball at you that deals 60 damage and you fail to post a response in three days, then the move goes through and you get hit with the attack. It then becomes my turn to attack once again if you still have health points left.

Any questions so far?

Sorry for the wait. Got sidetracked with K-drama.

Battling:

Timeframe Rules and Issues

The RP operates on a turn-based system. After deciding the order who goes first, and who goes second, the battle is done in turns with each turn consisting of 2 moves/posts (one move/post from each player). Each Move can have 3 techniques. Not included in the total of 3 techniques passively used jutsu such as Sharingan Activation, Rinnegan Paths activations, or other techniques that say they're passive or don't cost a move slot to use.

In battle, the first aggressive action of the first player triggers the beginning of the fight. However, the timeframe can only move forwards and, as such, the first aggressive action of the first player cannot be prevented. This aggressive action is any action that initiates the battle and that the other player can perceive. Normally, this is a technique but it can also be throwing a Kunai, molding your chakra, running, etc. Note that molding chakra triggers the beginning of the fight but DOES NOT mean that you can stop that from happening; It means that you can start "acting" from that point on. This means that your opponent must be allowed to at least begin the action, in regards to using jutsu. If someone is using a technique as their first move you may not interrupt this action before the jutsu itself at least begins in some form. The same applies for throwing kunai and shuriken and swinging a sword. You can't attack them as they draw or prepare these weapons you must do so when they're at least starting the throw/slash/whatever.

That's pretty much timeframe in a nutshell. Below are two examples, A will be correct while B will be incorrect.

Example A: RPer A uses the canon technique chidori making the required handseal and charging towards his opponent to attempt to impale him. RPer B watches as the chidori is formed and the opponent begins to charge at him, RPer B then releases a large torrent of water from his mouth to attempt to push RPer A backward.

Example B: RPer A uses the canon technique chidori making the required handseal and charging towards his opponent to attempt to impale him. RPer B watches RPer A make a handseal and before the Chidori forms or RPer A begins to charge RPer B fires a torrent of water from his mouth to strike RPer A before the attack begins.

The timeframe can get muddled depending on how fast people move as well as their proximity because in these cases you'll have less time to react than usual. Breaching timeframe will result in your move being voided, meaning your opponent's technique will go through unhindered. As this is one of the most important aspects of the RP let me know if you fully grasp it.

Health Rules and Chakra Accounting.

A bio's health points directly relate to its vitality and life force. There is a limit of damage that any ninja can effectively take before their life force gave out. As an academy student with the lifeline health specialty, you currently have 44 health.

Here's a link to the Health System for easy access Here

Chakra is the energy that all living things possess. We make use of it to fuel our techniques. As an academy student, you currently have 300 chakra. In the NW you regenerate 10% of your maximum chakra per day, and you can never exceed your maximum capacity. Doing so will result in you dying, and happens when you use certain techniques to drain chakra from your opponent and add it to your own pool. While in battle you cannot regenerate chakra.
