^Not a bad father, but he did stay gone for over 10 years. Even if it were for a good reason, cutting off all contact seemed kinda excessive
Like VegetaTo keep his family safe, he had to leave for a long time without contact. He is a great father.
Well said.^
I don't view Sasuke as a bad father, but a person who was written bad. Either way it's just a flaw of Kishimoto's lack of writing.
>He was gone for 10+ years without contact, but contacted Naruto
>His mission was retarded because he wasn't fighting anyone, nor gaining information (after the Gokage meeting). It's written as if he has been searching dimensions and finding nothing for all these years...
>In the Boruto Movie it literally feels as if his mission just started because he finally meet the threats he hypothesized, and then he got a scroll which contained the information they needed all along
Nothing was preventing him from coming back at least once a year to visit his family, but it's more or less bad writing.
Maybe because him and his daughter are remnants of one of the most powerful clans in history and he was off doin shady shit. Best to take care of the worl real quick then put your fam in danger. Not a bad father, but he did stay gone for over 10 years. Remember how the Gokage meeting takes place after Naruto becomes the Hokage (the one where Sasuke set up?).Well said.
This ^^^I view Sasuke like a military parent. Some times responsibilities take you away from family for long periods of time which doesn't make him a bad father.
Yeah, it was kinda screwy -__- Kishi most likely just had Sasuke stay away for plot's sake. Its even weirder seeing how in the movie Sarada tries to criticize Sasuke for acting according to her 'acting like his usual self' which kinda means they have been spending more time together, in which case doesn't that make the entire 10 year absence b4 seem pointless^

Not to mention the Gokage meeting, Naruto was the Hokage meaning his Daughter was around Boruto's age (Hokage One Shot) and he still didn't pop up somewhere so she could remember a time they spent together.
Tf Kishi?

Feel me?
Lawwd..Remember how the Gokage meeting takes place after Naruto becomes the Hokage (the one where Sasuke set up?).
But in the Hokage One Shot, Naruto isn't the Hokage yet but his children are probably between the ages of 3-6. At least Boruto is around 5-6. Sasuke's mission didn't start yet, so how come Kishimoto wrote him off?
In my opinion he should of never created the Gaiden, but if he wanted to show off Sarada's character going through drama he could of had a story where Sasuke sat her down and told her about Itachi. That would of been more interesting than "are you my mom"
It could have been a story about how the new age Uchiha deals with the mental struggle of her Uncle and the sacrifice he made. And it still could of caused her to go through things and end up as the same female who at the end, wants to become a Hokage.
IMO.
Yeah, it's the best answer. I make mine own words.Sasuke is a bad father because he left his family for about 11 years. Sarada couldn't remember who he was. If he was a good father he would have stopped from time to time. Knowing he is a man on a mission to gather info on Naruto's behalf and for his family's welfare he could have at least visited them once without neglecting them for years.
Then there is the fact that he forgot his own daughter's face. Come on he was there during when Sarada was very little. He could have remebered. Okay even if he couldn't remember can't that dude see she also has the Sharingan. Instead he was about to kill her with his sword.
When Sarada asks why did he abandon her and Sakura he tends to ignore her with Naruto having to fill in his shoes. This is already multiple signs of him being a bad father. Also not only was he a bad father but he also failed miserably in his mission to find the greater threat. He only hyped up the problem and made it worse for the 5 Great Villages.![]()
