For people who oppose Sasuke: He nearly attacked his Daughter.

For those who are with Sasuke: He saved his daughters ass plenty of times and was admired by a rival's son. (Boruto movie)

Not a bad father, but he did stay gone for over 10 years. Even if it were for a good reason, cutting off all contact seemed kinda excessive

I don't view Sasuke as a bad father, but a person who was written bad. Either way it's just a flaw of Kishimoto's lack of writing.

>He was gone for 10+ years without contact, but contacted Naruto
>His mission was retarded because he wasn't fighting anyone, nor gaining information (after the Gokage meeting). It's written as if he has been searching dimensions and finding nothing for all these years...
>In the Boruto Movie it literally feels as if his mission just started because he finally meets the threats he hypothesized, and then he got a scroll which contained the information they needed all along

Nothing was preventing him from coming back at least once a year to visit his family, but it's more or less bad writing.

I wouldn't call him a "bad" father, but a "flawed" father.

He left his daughter for a decade. No contact of any kind, not even sure if Sakura knew what he was up to, and on top of that he didn't even know what his own daughter looked like and showed little interest in her initially when they first met [even almost killing her].

On the flip side however, its not like Sasuke was running around for a decade just enjoying being a free man. He had a job to do, and was actively pursing a purpose [hunting down all remnants of Kaguya, gathering vital information, etc]. And when he did return, it seemed like he did genuinely have a connection with his daughter [Boruto: the Movie]. He was also significantly less of an ass like he was as a kid.

So no, I would not say he's a bad father.

Remember how the Gokage meeting takes place after Naruto becomes the Hokage (the one where Sasuke set up?).

But in the Hokage One Shot, Naruto isn't the Hokage yet but his children are probably between the ages of 3-6. At least Boruto is around 5-6. Sasuke's mission didn't start yet, so how come Kishimoto wrote him off?

In my opinion he should of never created the Gaiden, but if he wanted to show off Sarada's character going through drama he could of had a story where Sasuke sat her down and told her about Itachi. That would of been more interesting than "are you my mom"

It could have been a story about how the new age Uchiha deals with the mental struggle of her Uncle and the sacrifice he made. And it still could of caused her to go through things and end up as the same female who at the end, wants to become a Hokage.

IMO.

Sasuke is a bad father because he left his family for about 11 years. Sarada couldn't remember who he was. If he was a good father he would have stopped from time to time. Knowing he is a man on a mission to gather info on Naruto's behalf and for his family's welfare he could have at least visited them once without neglecting them for years.

Then there is the fact that he forgot his own daughter's face. Come on he was there during when Sarada was very little. He could have remebered. Okay even if he couldn't remember can't that dude see she also has the Sharingan. Instead he was about to kill her with his sword. :lmao:

When Sarada asks why did he abandon her and Sakura he tends to ignore her with Naruto having to fill in his shoes. This is already multiple signs of him being a bad father. Also not only was he a bad father but he also failed miserably in his mission to find the greater threat. He only hyped up the problem and made it worse for the 5 Great Villages.

Kishi just failed to convince me that he couldn't drop by to see his daughter a few times. And the fact that Sasuke's doing a mission only he can do yet not providing enough to cover the house's mortgage.

He can even send letters with hawks, and he has a cellphone but it's uncharged, lol.

Also, the fact that he refuses to show any interest in his wife sort of irks me.

Not to mention the Gokage meeting, Naruto was the Hokage meaning his Daughter was around Boruto's age (Hokage One Shot) and he still didn't pop up somewhere so she could remember a time they spent together.

Yeah, it was kinda screwy -__- Kishi most likely just had Sasuke stay away for plot's sake. Its even weirder seeing how in the movie Sarada tries to criticize Sasuke for acting according to her 'acting like his usual self' which kinda means they have been spending more time together, in which case doesn't that make the entire 10 year absence b4 seem pointless :mad:_@:

Yeah, it's the best answer. I make mine own words.
He had no influence in Sarada's life and she's so needy...
But also, imo, it has a little to do with Sakura, she could talk to her daughter and explain better the situation, as a mature person. Even if it was Sasuke's fault, Sakura shouldn't ignore her daughter questions. Many things could be softened with talks.

He's not the worst father in the series, though.
But he's the worst of his generation. Even Orochimaru is a better parent than Sasuke lol

And if Sasuke was a good father he would be a weak ass like Naruto currently is.

Him being a "bad" father is his way to being the best currently in the NU

Naruto fanboys just mad.
