Terrain: Middle of the night in a camp area. Abandoned tents around us, the area lit up by torches.
(Feel free to alter or completely change the terrain if you want - pull one from the Tournament if you feel like it)
Starting Range: Mid

I'll be using Mystogan (unless you really want to fight Kabuto, in which case let me know), and I'd like the first move, though I promise to have no offensive actions (I just want a set-up move).

Reaching a hand under his robe and across his chest, Kabuto collected moisture from the atmosphere to form what was initially a small orb of water, the fluid taking the true shape of a jellyfish quickly and latching on to his body over his heart.

And here I thought I was alone tonight...

Description: By applying jellyfish to a person's form in advance, the jellyfish can store up and spread chakra throughout its host to allow for quick recovery from a recent injury. This technique drains the jellyfish completely, causing each use to have a one time use.
Note: Can be used twice in all.


Kabuto's navel snake, hovering over his right shoulder, hissed at the man as it fed him information about the surrounding area. One person, a single human-tempered heat signature among the empty landscape and burning torches.

I was hoping to spend some time alone, but how could I deny such company?

Kabuto's navel snake hissed as he pulled his hand out from beneath his robes, a single scalpel held between the joints of his index and middle fingers closest to the knuckles. As the torchlight glimmered off of the steel face of the precise blade, snakes filled the massive sleeves of Kabuto's cloak. Hiding under the cover of both darkness and the cloak itself, the snakes remained silent as Kabuto's navel snake tasted the air, waiting. Focusing chakra to his mind, Kabuto opened himself to yet another sense at his command - the ability to sense the presence of chakra. With his sensory technique activated, his mouth contorted into a sly grin, his glasses adjusting on his face with the change in expression so the light glared off the lenses and his eyes further in the darkness.

My my... Yes, I would be quite the fool to turn away the company of a person such as yourself...

With Kabuto's free hand he pushed his glasses up on his face, removing the glare as the fingers on his other hand fiddled with the scalpel, moving the blade and forth while his hand itself stayed perfectly still.

A sense of mystery enveloped the site as Byakuran approached the cloaked figure. Although initially unfazed by the ominous location, Byakuran cringed at the mere sound, an almost snake like sound, that the enemy created. Illuminated by only several torches, Byakuran struggled to grasp specific details of the man's physiques and appearance, but he did notice the man's grotesque figure that remained hidden by his Akatsuki cloak.

Upon careful examination, Byakuran concluded that the man before him was none other than Kabuto - a disciple of the infamous Orochimaru and, now, a member of the Akatsuki organization.

Immediately, Byakuran's eyes lit up, for he was now in the presence of a literal monster. After almost a year of slumber he drooled at the thought of fighting once more, and the fact that his opponent was Kabuto excited him even more. "Of all the people I come across... Ha, I must be lucky. I'll do the world a favor and destroy you once and for all!" Byakuran exclaimed as he amplified his listening capabilities with sound release and prepared for battle.

Description: The user will enhance their hearing by infusing his ears with sound chakra. Then, by utilizing chakra and enfacing his lungs, the user will be able to control the frequency and intensity of the sound emitted from his simple breathing. This low frequency, inaudible sound is passively emitted and has no effect other than emerging from him and bouncing off of objects. Using the enhanced hearing, the user is able to know where everything is around them, effectively creating a sonar effect through the rebound and reflection of sound waves. The hearing and the sonar effect is precise enough so that one can effectively use it to substitute one's vision in battle if needed. Despite being very effective, specially if the user has any of his other senses hindered, it also leaves the user vulnerable to sound genjutsu or sound attacks which will be much more drastic in its effects.
Note: Lasts 6 turns
Performing a series of four hand seals and slamming his hands on the ground, Byakuran causes a pillar of earth to rise from the ground in the area between him and the enemy. This pillar emits a series of electrical bolts aimed towards Kabuto. Meanwhile, Byakuran dashes to his right as he hides behind a tent. He peaks from the tent only to gauge the opponent's strength based on his defense.

Description: The user will make a set of four hand seals and then will place their hand on the ground to create a pillar of earth to rise up from the ground. This pillar is then given a electrical charge that causes electric bolts to be emitted from the pillar up to short range from the pillar, shocking any targets in the vicinity.

Handseals, and chakra buildup in the ground before him. Placing his weight on his back foot, Kabuto prepared himself for what was to come. As a pillar of stone rose from the ground in front of him, Kabuto's defenses went up. For someone claiming to destroy him, this man was clearly not on the offensive. Curious. But then sparks of light sprang from the stone as the humanoid chakra mass moved to Kabuto's left. But there wasn't time to focus on him. Tossing the scalpel into the air and forming four quick handseals, Kabuto pushed himself backwards off his back foot as he exhaled a long blade of wind which drowned out the lightning in its gust and cut the pillar clean in two with the intense sharpness.

The man had moved. The largest sign was the relocation of his chakra signature. The snake's in Kabuto's sleeve were getting restless and began to hiss as they stuck their heads out of the sleeve.

Oh come now, they're getting impatient... The words flowed from Kabuto's tongue in a smooth yet sharp manner, every syllable ending quickly as his navel snake bobbed its head to the words. I thought you were here to destroy me. Kabuto's words continued to flow, but not for conversation. In the dark night, his chakra was seeping through his lungs and out into the open from his mouth as he spoke. As the chakra-imbued air entered the atmosphere, it quickly changed from average breath into a potent toxin, slowly spreading throughout the camp. Kabuto took one step forward, catching his tossed scalpel as it fell while he continued to exhale the vile poison.

Description: Chakra is kneaded within the body and then changed into special chemical substances which is then ejected through the mouth in the form of a massive poison cloud. When this substance comes in contact with the air outside the body, it instantly changes and is transformed into a mist of deadly poison. The poison's ability to kill is tremendous, as even just breathing in a small amount will mean the end of the target's life. As this technique combines ninjutsu, chemistry, and medical knowledge, using it requires fine chakra control and advanced ability in medical ninjutsu.
Note: Can only be used by those with Medical Training in Poison techniques.



As the poison spread throughout the camp, Kabuto balanced the blunt end of his scalpel's handle on his middle finger, blowing a soft breeze onto it to make the tool rotate about his finger. As the scalpel rotated, Kabuto's breath covered it in a sharp wind chakra and the tool began to spin all on its own. Looking up with his true eyes towards where Kabuto felt his opponent's chakra, he flicked his wrist to send the rotating, wind-infused scalpel towards the man as his previous technique rendered the air unfit to breathe for those susceptible to the poison.

Show me the strength of those who dare oppose advancement in both research and power!

The distinctive color of poisonous gas leaked silently from Kabuto's mouth. "You're a medical ninja as well? Hm, quite ironic for someone who places no value on life itself..." Byakuran disapprovingly commented. With Kabuto taking the offensive and the pervasive gas spreading like wildfire, Byakuran knew better than to allow it to spread any further. Performing two hand seals, Byakuran manipulates the atmosphere around you, up to short-range, and creates a Harmattan updraft to rise up. The slicing winds rapidly circulated from different angles and directions, with gusts powerful enough to disorient Kabuto's balance and winds sharp enough to cause severe damage. The harmattan carries dust and other unique properties that, if successful, would peel or otherwise scorch Kabuto's skin. Furthermore, the powerful Harmattan gusts would easily disperse the poisonous mist.

The man was mocking him. Making comment about his skills as a medical ninja in regard to his willingness to kill. Not that his words mattered, they were merely ramblings. But then a wind picked up from under Kabuto, and from the moment it touched his skin he knew this was a bad position. The rough, abrasive wind, burning his flesh as it made contact, instantly shot pain through Kabuto's body, causing him to instinctively react by flowing healing chakra across himself. The wind harmed Kabuto, and the technique did nothing for the pain, but all of the physical injury was healed as it was inflicted, restoring Kabuto to pristine health by the end of the offense.

Description: This mode envelops the user in a flowing blue chakra and allows them to constantly heal themselves in the midst of battle while at the same time boosting their stamina and vitality as it replenishes their strength and health. The limitation of the technique in terms of healing is its low speed and inability to heal complex injuries (complex fractures, lost body parts, etc), though it can easily heal superficial and medium injuries in a quick fashion. Over time, this mode consumes the user's chakra until it finally wears off by itself. The technique lasts for three turns before deactivation.
Note: Must have medical training.


Knowledge is power, and as such my research shall never cease. As for medicine, you can see for yourself with your own eyes how well it works.

Waiting until his opponent had found his positioning and stopped moving, Kabuto slammed his hand on the ground and summoned a large volume of water high above the man (enough to be damaging, meaning a minimum of 10 meters). In the darkness of night, with the only light source being below the water, neither it nor its shadow would be immeidately seen, but that was not the entirety of his plan. Afterwards, as Kabuto was standing himself up, he focused his chakra through the earth to cause four large spikes to shoot out of the ground around the man, aimed to pierce his calves as well as his stomach and back. With the delay of the water technique, having to wait for gravity to pull the water down, the spikes would end up reaching the man first, becoming a problem to be dealt while the stealthy water continued to fall from above.

The sound of water could be heard immediately as it materialized. Byakuran tilted his head up to look for the source of the sound when, suddenly, the earth started shaking below him. With the help of the sound sensing technique, Byakuran easily heard the foreboding sound of both technique, and thus was able to set up his defense accordingly.
He sent wind chakra in the environment around him and solidified it, creating an orb of solidified wind around him (think hamster wheel <.<). This powerful shield protected him from the potentially fatal water and earth attacks as both were dispersed immediately after making contact with the wind shield. Likewise, the shield disappeared into thin air after the attacks.

Description: By using wind chakra, the user will release it into the air in front of them. With the wind chakra, they will manipulate the air to become more solid, 'solidifying' the air, into something that would allow the user to physically interact with. With the use of shape manipulation, the solidified air could be shaped into a multitude of items, like kunai's, hammers, swords, etc. Each offensive action done by these solidified weapons would be able to slice through even the thickest materials due to the slicing and sharp properties of wind (According to elemental strengths & Weaknesses). It can also create shields of slicing winds, about the size of 3/4 the users body, used for defense that is able to defend against lightning techniques, or offensive physical actions like taijutsu or kenjutsu. With the use of a single handseal, the user can choose to make the solidified weapon or item they created previously to burst into a net of slicing winds upon impact, enveloping the target and continuously deal slicing damage to the target for as long as they remain within the net. (Basically, once the weapon made of solidified wind hits a target, it would explode into a net via shape manipulation. The wind would be more concentrated and the net would be touching the targets body, making it cut the body parts its touching.)
Notes & Restrictions:
- Can only be used 3 times with a two turn cooldown
- Only teachable by Ace.
- The 60 damage only applies to the one handseal and creation of the net; if the net is not created, and only the wind weapon hits, 20 damage points will be decreased from 60.
- The solidified items created from this technique must be bigger than a hand, while being smaller than the user. (To avoid people making tiny, tiny balls or something.)
- Once the net is formed, the user will only be able to perform wind based techniques to maintain the net's shape. So basically, if you use the handseal to create the net, you can only use wind jutsus unless you want the net to disappear into thin air.
- Net can only go up to short range.
"You won't defeat me that easily!" Byakuran exclaimed as he channeled earth based chakra into the ground of his previous position behind the tent. Seconds later, an enormous rock pillar rises from the ground diagonally (at like, a 7-12 degree angle so it is aimed towards you). The pillar emerges from where the exploding seal was placed, and because it was behind a tent, the seal would be concealed by the tent itself as it is caught in the path of the pillar. Once the pillar enters short-range, the seal on it would explode, acting as an unexpected offensive attack and injuring Kabuto. The chaos and smoke of the explosion would act as cover for the actual pillar to ram into you with immense force.
