Kids with an idealistic open mind
That's what we all were at one point
But the time came when we realized life wasn't so kind
Now we know why the old feel it's pain in every joint
But there's still more to this life than pain
It's just a matter of finding it before it's too late
Before you become bitter in life's cold rain
Some procrastinate while other's can't be bothered to wait
It's important to use, and grow your intelligence
Because both rushing and procrastination
Can leave you with a great deal of incompetence
Both also can lead to a pain and depression infestation
So don't wait but don't rush in without a clue
Because it may leave you wondering where to go next
It's a matter of fight or die, because this life doesn't care about you
Accept that for what it is, and don't let yourself become perplexed
Non of us can remain open minded kids forever
And this life will throw you around, and beat your ass
But remember to never say die, EVER
And at the end you'll have reason to raise a glass
