oonoki would give hashirama a very hard time and is quite underrated

in a scenario where hashirama (without bijuu) could face oonoki (without his crappy oldness) I think Oonoki would actually have a small chance to win this.

He is easily the strongest shinobi out of the current 5 kage and his dust techs are just beast, even wiping out half of madaras tree world technique in a weakened state.

He also has his stone techs that are great for defence and on top of that he can fly, which is what leads me to believe he is possibly hashiramas worst matchup ( as he is able to atomically deconstruct any of hashis wood release techs) the only thing hashi has to his advantage is his genjutsu which may be possible for oonoki to avoid if he is flying (my speculation)

No one seems to give him enough credit for what he can do and he gets quite underrated at times during discussion as IMO there are few shinobi alive or dead that can defend against his dust techs.

I would easily rate him in the top 5 ninja ALIVE

I completely agree. I see a lot of people always underrating Onoki without realizing how hax some of his jutsu are.

With dust release anything he hits with it will be turned to dust and can also change the shape of it to extend his range as shown in the previous chapter. He has his huge rock golems for defense, can fly, can make anything light and heave which is very hax, and also has wind and fire jutsu since he use dust release which requires one to manipulate earth, wind, and fire.

Madara owned oonoki no problem. Although I do agree dust release is a hack in comparison to other jutsus. He is no match for Hashirama, even in his prime.

its kinda obvious that anooki wasnt in his prime or anywhere near his prime during their fight.
He wasnt strong enough to be tsuchikage cause he wasnt and with the old anooki we have seen in the last chapter and the previous ones their is no doubt in my mind that anooki would have given madara a lot trouble in his prime.

IMO if hashi was only a lil stronger than madara..madara wouldn't have gone after the 9 tails in order to face hashi. That said hashirama was more than a lil stronger than madara.

true but you could also say that he wanted the kyuubi for other reasons too like juubi ressurection or to help him wipe out konoha.

Im just saying that technically they should be around the same strength, otherwise they wouldnt really be known as rivals.
