There is a reason behind everything Tite does he wouldn't have put them thier if it didn't mean anything because anything extra on the blades or handles can get in the way.

Plus when you compare the people who I have listed and in their fights they have all done exceptionally well. So there has to be a reason why the tassels are there :/ I still believe those are to be the strongest of the Zanpaktou

Yoruichi's has not been fully shown so she is unknown

and there isnt much shown about Aizens
