Onoki is able to fly fast and has an attacks that kills the enemy instantly.
Kakuzu wouldn't be able to land a hit on Onoki at all. Kakuzu lacks reaction speed in order to dodge a jinton.
Even Onoki's rock golems would be a challenge for Kakuzu.
Kakuzu still has his threads which could be a problem for Onoki, but I believe he's still faster than the threads, and they can't follow him indefinitely, while Onoki can fly as high as he wants, or just destroy the attacking threads with a jinton.
