It would be an interesting link.
Though the Hidden Leaf, thusfar, has been one giant Sage Family Reunion. So suddenly involving another village would be a change in stride.
The Hyuuga and Uzumaki are not children of the Sage, however. The Hyuuga are descendants of Kaguya's clan (not necessarily Kaguya, herself). The Uzumaki were the original shamanistic tenants of the God Tree (which originally resided on the island of Uzu).
Naruto was not branded with the Curse of Hatred until he spoke to the Sage in the last chapter and received a portion of his power. The Sage's actions will end up being a curse as opposed to a blessing - well-intentioned as it was. But that will come up later.
The Senju and Uchiha are the descendants of the Sage's sons. The Sage's brother is a bit harder to peg down. I have a sneaking suspicion that we'll be looking at a sudden return of the concept of Jashinism. But that, too, would be a break in stride from the Hidden Leaf being one big Sage Reunion.
On the positive side of things - when a Kodama (tree that is a spirit - what the Juubi concept was based on) is cut down, the ritual is to have a festival to appease the spirit. So the end of Naruto will likely be some form of giant festival-themed Omake following some kind of Rinne-Tensei on the whole cast (sans the self-sacrifice).
