Can absorb and use other dragon slayer magic, not only that but their are dragons out there that have multiple elements

I came to this conclusion when Natsu went fire/lightning mode, I remember somebody saying "So this is the fire lightning dragon"

Same with gajeel. Overall, I think that feat is only applicable to 1st Gen Dragon slayers.. Idk. Theirs more I want to say but how do you guys feel about this. Do you feel their are dragons out their with multiple elements, or only certain elements are in conjunction with certain elements

How that was obtained was by killing him. Gaining him control of his powers.
We are in essence talking about absorbing it like Gajeel and Natsu did without killing

Maybe because Sting and Rogue have lacryma? So the lacryma is the trick here? Or maybe cause they actually killed Dragons, I just don't know.

They have lacrima+they got trained by dragons....7 years timeskip...Mastery over Dragon force

I really don't like the whole fire/lightning or iron/shadow thing, to me Hiro really messed up there. I guess so far only first gen have been able to show it, Wendy would probably get her's so... if not in this arc

Possibly once Wendy does something similar and Rougue and Sting don't, then your theory may be right. At this time I think it's slightly too early to give restrictions on the dragon slayers abilities.
