I was wondering if it is possible that Kakashi copied this jutsu when Chiyo used it on Gaara? Naruto Wiki states that it is believed to be lost since Chiyo is dead, but is it possible for Kakashi to have copied it?

I don't think so. It's an extremely difficult medical ninjutsu and I highly doubt Kakashi got the knowledge/medical skills for that.

in theory i'd agree with you, but that he cant use it doesnt mean that he cant understand it. i think he could teach the jutsu.

Exactly and this, like every medical jutsu, is a jutsu that requires a certain chakra control.

I also thought that ninjutsu could be copied. Hasn't he been seen using all five at some point? Water, lightning, and fire, definitely.

That's what I thought, and I didn't recall seeing any hand seals with this jutsu, but I figured there might be a chance they just didn't bother to show them.

I don't think he could have copied it. He can only copy this type of stuff, medical ninjutsu, which has different components than other types of jutsus that he does copy.

I doubt it. It's a scared med-technique and one crazy tough one at that. It's not his style. I don't think he could do it, nor would he want to.

if kakashi could copi medical justsu they wouldn't need sakura in team 7, plus all kakshi would see while that jutsu was being peformed is the old lady with her hand over gaara, and later naruto joined her
