Ay was up against 10 Sharingan eyes and the only reason he got caught was because he was not paying attention.

This scene proves eye contact isn't looking at a sharingan user's face, but actually looking into the sharingan user eyes (sharingan). When the manga says eye contact it means eye contact not face contact.

Just because Obito didn't use genjutsu doesn't make it a plot shield. The manga stated all ninja during the 3rd war were given a "flee on sight" order against Minato, not all ninja but genjutsu users. The fact Obito didn't use genjutsu against Minato even though he knew Minato, trained under him, and prep to face him tell us genjutsu wouldn't have worked.

You don't even need to make direct eye contact with the Sharingan; as long as it is within the target's gaze's range, the user is caught. This is proven by the fact when Sasuke put Deidara in genjutsu from over 100 feet away. There is no way in hell he could have even made out the shape of Sasuke's face, let alone his eyes from that far away:

Which means he never zoomed in and my argument is correct: a complete eye contact is not even necessary. As long as the Target's gaze can discern the Sharingan, he's caught.

replace the word minato with itachi

Minato is the most over-rated, featless fruit in the entire manga. This much is set in stone.

Itachi can cast genjutsu without being sensed, despite cee being a sensor and is a genjutsu user he still fell for sasuke's genjutsu which is not even on par with itachi's, tsukiyomi unlike amaterasu is not shown to have chakra build up, its like saying kamui has chakra build up, amaterasu is the only one among the doujutsus that chakra build up is needed, another example is if genjutsu has the chakra build up you claim, either cee or Ao or any other sensor will sense danzo the moment he used KA

yeah you are right but no one was paying attention to danzo as nobody expected it... it was jus a coincidence or you can say plot that Ao detected danzo as they weren't in battle situation... and it would be kinda weird if genjutsu doesn't require chakra build up as every jutsu does... And about cee not noticing it, he did notice he was in genjutsu but the problem is even if he could sense chakra build up, he isn't fast enough to do anything about it... also i think Ao or karin were better sensors compared to cee as cee was nowhere to be seen when war started.. Ao was heading the party there... and about itachi, he was an exceptional character... it's not that sharingan genjutsu or Tsykiyomi are undetectable, it's his intellect that makes it so difficult to detect as his planning is top notch that's why shikamaru's dad commented about itachi in war coz he was exceptional but that doesn't make him unbeatable either as itachi has limited resources when it comes to MS as you not only go blind, it hurts like hell...
and kamui does have chakra build up. haven't you seen kakashi struggling? just because obito is chakra beast due to senju cells doesn't mean it has no chakra build up... kakashi outright stated that he needs to build up chakra to use kamui...

He looked at Obito several times. Apparently, he can break out of a 3T Genjutsu as well, when people like Orochimaru and Chee couldn't manage (genjutsu specalists) ... and without feats! That Minato! Who needs feats when you have that train running on tumblr fanfiction?



Typical plot armor for this guy. Not to mention that Raikage incident as well. Sasuke doesn't magically go for Genjutsu but Amaterasu in its stead when Raikage was wide open for Genjutsu attack.
