[Question] One piece

OP anime isn't that great due to the pacing with the recent episode. I recommend reading the chapters, it's much better. It's the best shonen series I've read.

Just a kid who wants to be the Pirateking. The show revolves around him and his crew (which he gathers throughout the show) and them going to find the One Piece. Which is a treasure that the former Pirate King left. So every pirate is looking for it— while wanting to become the pirate king.

Every time I try to explain something, it sounds lame as hell. But the shows awesome. Original and badass fights.
Plus, Luffy has a lot of relationships with powerful ass people, despite him being an airhead. He's kinda like Naruto. Goofy, idiotic, but arrives at the right time and knows how to be badass when he needs to. And just like Naruto wants to become the hokage, Luffy has the same passion as wanting to become King of Pirates.

Yup. A manga that approaches the themes of slavery, freedom, eugenics, racism, justice, power, sexism, war, corrupt governments, chasing your dreams, underworld criminals, and family is shallow.

He's making fun of One Piece readers. He's being highly sarcastic. Here's the thing: People have a problem with people saying why they like One Piece or why they think One Piece is the best series in a thread asking those people to say why they like One Piece or why they think One Piece is the best series. It's honestly like walking into a building that's on fire and acting all pissed and surprised when you catch ablaze.

You make a thread asking people why they like Death Note, or why they like Attack on Titan, or why they Bleach, no one gives a shit, no one bats an eye. But if you have a thread of people expressing why they love One Piece or prefer One Piece over another series, everyone likes to b***h about it.

The problem is that people expect One Piece to be some lame-ass series, so when they see people saying they love it, or prefer it over other series, they automatically link them in with delusional fanboys. People need to shut the **** up and let people express if and why they love a series and prefer it over other series, whether it be One Piece, Bleach, Naruto or whatever.

All I'm gonna say is that.... One Piece is hugely popular for a reason. Because It's f***ing awesome.

A mix of Adventure, Comedy, Character Interaction, lots of world building, Action and Individual character development and goals.

The only downside of the series is Pacing.

I've seen just about every one of those themes dabbled with in One Piece just as much as I do in just about every other manga.
None of those themes are exclusive to the series. I say it's shallow because the story plot itself isn't a deeply formulated or complex circuit that engages the timeline or events from multiple accounts and then ties it all together. Not yet anyway. So far, one could say it's just going to the next to place to fight the next fight.

Op: Just read our watch the series for yourself and create your own singular opinion. Don't take the hype the series is being given.

Luffy is a really unique and funny character though. Unlike naruto, Luffy who is the main character is actually my favorite character in one piece.

Yes!!! Don't listen to the people above! There's only 1 arc that's worth watching but even then that arc is censored. Read OP, don't watch it! Although the anime is alright, it's not bad. It has amazing OST's, voice actings, etc. The main problem is the pacing, recently the episodes follow a 1 chapter per episode pacing. So you know how bad it can be at times.
