That's the trick though! Bleach starts off extremely strong, you'll be hooked. But then after it hooks you it drags you along the pavement till you're no more. I'm telling bleach is a disappointment on many levels and everyone agrees who follows it.

You'll be let down. HxH is a way better series and more consistent, but the mangaka is a lazy **** once you're caught up.

Bleach is turrible, and I'm up to to date with both mangaa. Bleach in terms of story writing, plot doesn't hold a candle to bleach. However, bleach has the most interesting character designs of the well known HST.

If you want some great and fun action and not much else go for Bleach, its a pure action/battle manga

If you want a great world and story complimented by (great) action go for One Piece, it's an adventure manga

I never liked mangas without a deep meaningfull plot, that's why I never got hyped up by the likes of bleach or FT, bleach is a poor written manga in terms of plot and consistency, the manga is so inconsistent its unbelivable and it lacks many things and not only plot, the fight's may be interesting and cool but the number of ass-pulls makes the action on bleach lose weight, maybe only me but I tend to get in depth of mangas, so yeah for me OP is by far better than bleach, at the end of the day it all comes back to preferences.

If you liked the original Dragon-Ball with the whole fantasy-adventure theme, you will like One Piece. Bleach is more comparable to DBZ except it deteriorates in quality very quickly after the first few arcs.
