It is, better then naruto and bleach IMO.

Not to even mention mediocre Shonens like Bleach, FT or Naruto

Toriko is getting so good, that Midora hype tho, oh and the reaction from Toriko when he got to the nest of the 8th king beast.

OP: Well this was posted before, and from the interview what I liked was that he said that more nakama could join.

Though it's true that OP and HxH are probably the best shonens, also Phoenix but that's quite old

OT: I could of sworn I've heard this news like 2 years ago or around the time the manga entered the new world saga. At this point we probably have 7-8 years of one piece left, Unless Oda changes his mind

I don't know about that. I remember hearing how he said he was trying to reach at least 1000 chapters, but I believe this interview is recent.

Just curious: based on what do you put Toriko in the 'Big 3'?
Unless it's just a personal preference of course, Toriko is nowhere near Naruto neither in the yearly sales rates, nor in the Weekly Shōnen Jump rankings and of course, not in the overall popularity, hence it even fails in comparison to Bleach in that aspect.

Indeed, the term shouldn't be based on anything, but people usually tend to base it on sales, popularity or sometimes WSJ Rankings. the term 'Big 3' originally came into being after the top yearly manga sales of the year 2009 were posted on anime news network, with One Piece, Naruto and Bleach taking the top 3 spots respectively.
Anyways, I got the answer to what I was interested in, it's your personal preference after all, which of course, is something I can't argue over.

OP, HxH and Toriko are currently the best shonen mangas imo. I probably would include Magi in there but im not caught up.
