Ugh, I know right! How dare Oda have plot in these chapters! I can't be sitting around here reading actual story, I have to be in bed by 8 to get to my kindergarten class tomorrow!

See what really bugs me is how have the fans(who have read 850+ chapters) not realized that Oda puts BIG emphasis on world building and character development...like the crazy action in a regular arc is probably 20% - 30% max....it still blows my mind when people complain

I admit that I'm impatient for this arc to end quickly, but if Dressrosa taught me anything, I have to tolerate and deal with flashbacks of characters I don't care about. I'm just gonna suck it up this poison of "arc too long it took over a year". This is definitely "The Year Of Big-Mom" lord have mercy on my soul to witness the end of this arc.
Here's your momma joke: "Big-Mom is so big, it took Oda's grand grand grand son to end the arc at age 80 and he died too later."

I understand the whole concept of world building and character development. It's just this is the big moment. Why can't the flashback wait until after Big Mom's defeat?

Linlin easily breaks Yoruru's weapon and punches him into the ground. Other Giants quickly head towards the giants' food storage sheds to collect the Semla.
Carmel extracts her/a soul and gives life to the village's fire which makes it calm down. This was to restore peace to the village and to feed Linlin Semla.
Yoruru died there. The orphans from the Lamb's House run from the enraged giants.
A new Lamb's house is rebuilt elsewhere.
Carmel was in cahoots with the World Government. While pretending to be a nun, she would collect children and sell them to various places. She was going to sell Linlin to the government for a huge sum.
On Linlin's birthday there was a pile up of Semla to make a Croquembouche for her. She and the children were going to eat together. Linlin was so happy she couldn't see through her tears, she headed towards the Semla.
When she'd eaten the Semla and reverted back to normal, Linlin didn't see Carmel or the other kids, though she'd expected them to be there.
Flashback ends.
Linlin: Mama!!! Where did you go??
