Nice chapter.

Interesting to see Luffy's fighting style evolve, iirc this will be the first time he'll expand 'sideways' without inhaling air. Okiku looks like she was raised away from people, like royalty in a castle, like she's been told what to do all her life.

Fun chapter, lot of action and casual ass kicking. We all know the casual part will disappear as soon as the big boys will start to show up. The summertime colorspread looked epic, Robin grilling like a pro. I like how Luffy always tries to overcome others in their own field. The samurai slapping was nice, the panel with Luffy's stretched arm over the city was some nice art on Oda's part, playing with perspective.

Luffy looks impressed by the Lion on Holdem's stomach, can't take long before he gets an invite to the crew. I still don't know where this story line is headed. Lot's of time spend with these weird gifters.

I expected him to have one of those fanboy moments after head mentioned the lion head.

This instantly gave me a smile on my face. You can imagine so easily that Usopp and Luffy have sumo-fights on a blue, boring Monday. Luffy easily overpowering Usopp, who then starts to use underhanded tactics to even things out, but Luffy pays him back tenfold.

O-Kiku is a really weird character though. She's a samurai, she knows how to fight, she can fight, but at the same time she's playing a damsel in distress =/

I like Holdem's character so far. His no-nonsense mentality combined with that belt-lion makes him interesting to watch.

There are several black wires attached to it, however it's not visible on all panels and often they have only been drawn partially. They can easily be mistaken for straight lines visualizing people screaming. At least that's how I tried to explain it to myself xd

And thank you Love Cook for posting this because as I was reading the chapter I was like damn I could very easily picture a descriptive sumo match between Luffy and Usopp, and thanks to you now I know why lol..
